What is Riot actually likely to do in regards to Zed nerfs?

Zed's always been one of the few champions I've disliked, so if/when he's nerfed, as Riot mentioned in the last patch notes, I won't exactly be shedding a tear. However I don't exactly want to see him nerfed to oblivion and judging by their comments neither do they. I've seen all types of suggestions for how they could tone down zed from players, but I'm kind of curious what you guys think Riot will actually do.

To me part of his major issue, at least for me, is just how cheap his build is, ghost blade, Bork, and Last Whisper offers an absolute insane amount of damage on him, but that would be a much larger change affecting other champions. Maybe all that needs to be done is lower his wave clear, his free bonus AD, or his energy regen to somewhat bring him in line with the mana regen nerfs. Either way, kind of curious what you guys think will/should be done to him.

They need to make his Q stop upon hitting a 2nd target like Lux's, or stop shortly after hitting the first like Gnar's. It gives way too much safe poke and wave clear.

Or make it do 25% less damage then the last target for each unit it damages. I mean multiplicative not additive. aka 100% > 75% > 56.3% > 42.2% > 31.6% > 23.7%. As well as making his passive only proc once every 12/10/8 seconds.

His wave clear is the problem but his ability to assassinate is realistic.

his main problem when i face him is that he's able to wave clear, split push, and harass too well while having a crap ton of free AD from his W. I say up energy costs and lower his energy regeneration and get rid of some of the free AD he has on his W

I think that's an interesting idea to make his passive proc only so often similar to J4's. Another would be to make him have to auto so many times before it proc'd, like Master Yi's passive. Anything that can make his wave clear not as good would hurt him, it's part of the reason I don't mind Talon, and play him from time to time. He needs to build Hydra to do anything, and even then he goes oom pretty quick if he's not careful.
