@Riot please address the Taliyah players who have come out and spoken about the issue regarding her

It is obvious that many players do not look at these boards. However many players have come to the boards AFTER the Taliyah changes on the W and the majority wish for it to be reverted. Why is this being avoided by employees? We would at least like some answers as to why it is NOT going to be reverted IF it will not be. Taliyah players have been SEVERELY punished with this patch, and I think unfairly so.

Do you have any evidence that the majority wants this? A few upvoted circlejerk threads do not count.

the funny thing is there were plenty of posts about making it vector like victor's E and rumble's ult. now people want it changed back? kek.

Taliyah is plenty strong as it is. Her Q on worked ground only costs 25 mana and deals 140 + 40% ap. 25 mana is damn cheap on a 4 second cooldown getting all stones to launch and hit deals 420 + 120% AP... ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY PERCENT for 50 mana on a 5 second cooldown not only that but she remains mobile throughout the entire animation, not having to stop like most mages to do cast, giving her the ability to keep casting while chasing or even kiting away which has amazing synergy with item 3116 since it slows, making landing all shots much easier. Not to mention the skillshot range is actually pretty long.

her E is at its widest point pretty much the width of an entire lane, and on an 8 second base cooldown at lvl 5 that's pretty strong. and can deal 360 + 80% ap in magic damage if they're hit by the initial cast AND the anti-dash damage if they dash or are knocked into it again with her W.

so including her W which does 140 + 40% ap, one skill rotation from her can do: 420 + 360 + 140 = 920 base damage 120 + 80 + 40= 240% ap damage

lets say you're somewhere into the mid-late game and have around 4 finished items just from what sounds good, lets go with rylais, ludens that i've seen several people build early on her, a zhonyas, and sorc boots.

thats 270 x 240% = 648 648 + 920 = 1568 damage not including defenses. that's a lot, and for that i'm damn glad she doesn't have an ult that does damage. and that's just with 270 ap, which is not that much.

lets say she has around 500 ap now 500 x 240% = 1200 1200 + 920 = 2120 for a full combo.

and if they're good enough they can get another Q rotation in there for another 420 + 120% ap damage in there if they're in an area that hasn't been worked from Q yet.

she has mobility, zoning, damage, and roaming. her kit is really packed with a LOT of tools.

I've never understood the hate for vector casting, or the reason people always say not to smartcast it. After hearing they were going to change her W to vector casting, I bought viktor and played him for a while to get used to it (my goodness is he strong). Her W seems a lot more fluid than it was before and I have no complaints about the change in cast type. the only thing I don't like is that they removed the targeting circle so you could see the area it would hit, but just playing the champ a few times should be enough for you to learn where it hits.

So basically no, as a Taliyah main, I don't feel I was severely punished this patch. If anything, my burst just went through the roof now that I can chain an undodgeable E-Q directly after a W.

I actually LIKE the Taliyah changes. But I may be a bit biased. ( Taliyah CTRL+6 )
