Well... losing nets you ~ 200 and winning nets you ~ 1000, so meaning if you got your icon through losing a lot you've practiced enough to hopefully get better at that champ?

(though the counter argument would be that you have to REALLY suck at the champ to keep a losing streak on it, I guess)

I agree this would be awesome, but want it for an entirely different reason. Getting rank 5 on champs you're shit w/ is totally do able (gonna happen a lot in bronze and silver) and when you shit on someone w/ rank 5 who was spamming it, best moment ever. Like why would you be afraid of it sub diamond/plat, if you think you can climb you should be able to beat anyone on their main who is stuck in low elo w/ it.

It took me a bit to realize you were talking about the red-jewel level and not the base level you start at. Which I suppose would just strike more fear in higher ranks. On both sides.

I'm pretty sure it is Riot's supreme goal (which they've kept at pretty well) to make the game equal. Rank borders that actually show a relative measure of your skill are only visible to your allies. Summoner icons rarely ever show your skill level. I think anyone who's played for a while knows that ~~skinsgetwins~~, Even if they have championship skins, that still doesn't mean they're good at that champ. Honor badges are a bit different. They were all meant to signify someone has good conduct, but the red one is often used to say "you played well," BUT people can play a lot of aram and get ribbons and shit for wrecking on Urgot, Kat, etc. No fear needed. But I would like to bm my enemies and spam emotes so rito pls
