Singed's poison should not be a poison/should stack

As it is currently, if his poison hits you every 2 seconds, you're taking just as much damage as if you were chasing him the whole time. That's a problem, because with the dipping in and out playstyle I believe you're supposed to use against Singed... it doesn't do anything. I might as well be chasing him the entire time.

The other part is that if I chase him, I'm not even taking that much damage. Hell, if I don't chase him for longer than 2 seconds, most of the damage I take is actually after I've already left his poison trail.

What I propose is a stacking mechanic. This discourages you from chasing him, and rewards you for not spending much time in his poison. The stack should last for about 1 second, so you can't dip out of the trail and keep on chasing instantly, but enough so that if you're doing short trades, you'll reset the stack every time. His W should no longer do DoT on the enemy, but instead be like a Morg W that does damage to anything standing on it. This means there's actually a big difference between chasing him and staying in his trail, and getting hit once.

To clarify, right now, if you get hit once, you take 8 hits of damage. If I get hit for 1 second, I take 12 hits of damage. If I get hit for 2 seconds, I take 16 hits of damage. As you see, for each second I stay in his poison, I only take 4 extra hits. It doesn't matter how long I've been chasing him, I'll take the same damage from the third second and the first.

If I touch his poison once every two seconds, I take the exact same damage as if I stayed in it for the entire two seconds. That doesn't sound right, don't you think?

With my suggested stacking mechanic and removal of the poison in favor of DoT, chasing Singed doesn't hurt so much in the beginning, but after, say, 1.5 seconds of the stack existing (it ticks for 1 second and is refreshed every time the enemy takes damage from the poison, aka every .25 seconds.) If the stack runs out (is not reapplied within the 1 second), it runs out. If it doesn't, after 1.5 seconds the stack changes into a debuff. This debuff lasts much longer (3-5 seconds), and causes the enemy to take 4x as much damage from the poison.

You would need to nerf the damage and this making him unable to do anything except being chase.

Nope, buff the flat out damage (because it no longer poisons for 2 seconds after wards), and due to the trail staying there, he can still run around you, it just won't be as faceroll and impossible to avoid.

Explain.

I know the 'don't chase Singed'. My problem, is that I'm taking as much damage from his poison not chasing him, as I would if I did chase him.
