Has anyone actually tried having an ADC and support toplane?

Just to test it out.

In PBE? Anywhere? I think this would be a nice test. I want to do it myself.

it would actually make more sense to send adc/support to mid

solo top and bot lanes

and jungler

support and jungler could roam to any lane or objective , ward etc ,

your mid who is now bot and your top laners are still solo and getting their gold and experience

and it allows the support to flex more and support all 3 lanes...

also it still provides protection to drake/baron with duo lane mid

and who ever duo lane mid wins and gets 1st turret mid has more control on the map

That actually sounds really cool! I'll try it out as it may actually be better to do this. Plus, mid-lane has the shortest travel distance mathematically so a lot more farm can be gain which would lead to a lot of heavy scaling.

but that is thinking outside the meta and not being a sheep...

the one thing is the reason mid is normally an AP mage lane or an assassin lane.. they level faster with the shorter distance to lane therefore they hit power spikes earlier then other champs/lanes and can assert that power before someone can build against them accordingly

say like an LB mid who has strong roam/ burst early game and due her getting lvl 6 1st typically no one in the sidelanes, or jungler has enough mr /hp do deal wit her burst and advanced lvl which makes it easier for her to do what she does...

similar to zed with armor pen... and so on...

Hence I like Teemo as an off-meta ADC. You can go on a defensive build and still deal tons of damage. Haha.

Not more farm, just earlier farm.

I have seen this many times when I play mid or jungle. It just means that bot will be easier to gank and dragon will always be open.

Yes, did it with a Flash/Smite support.

It's cheese if you want to win against a selfish jungler, but if he moves and starts to lane and make it a 2v2 nothing really changes.

Why?

As I said, to experiment. Why not see the results of consecutive lane switches?

We did, in season 6 competitive play. It was a farce and an absolute disaster, and the entire reason riot removed shielding from the bot turret was to stop it.

Both teams just swapped lanes as soon as possible and carried on as usual after trading kills and turrets.

I did it when my support was flaming in champ select and went zed so our top laner supported me.

Did pretty good, the enemy supp/adc didn't lane swap. Even though we didn't get dragon, we crushed lane and almost got to the inhib.

Stuff like that would draw the attention of the jungler or midlaner, so if you do things like this then your other lanes probably won't be ganked? Also to do dragon you only really need your jungler and midlaner.

they used to abuse this is pro play.

of course you can do it, but if you are solo good luck finding teammates who will like your idea.

The only reason it isn't tried right now is because of the stupid bot turret being paper. By sending 2 top you essentially forfeit first tower.
