Can Irelia's ult be updated to heal based of # of targets hit rather than damage dealt?

Irelia looks like she's getting a small buff to her Q in the next patch. That's nice and all, but there's one thing about her kit that's always infuriated me: the healing on Transcendent Blades. Use it on minions, the healing is almost broken. Use it in a team fight, you don't even know its there.

Why is it like this? Because it heals based off the damage you deal, which is drastically reduced if the enemy has even one armor item (as Irelia doesn't go for penetration). It's the same sort of problem Renekton used to have on his Q.

To that end, it'd be nice if Transcendent Blades could instead heal based on targets hit rather than damage dealt. This kind of change could benefit Irelia by making her ultimate's healing have some consistency, rather than being super wonky due to enemy armor.

Obviously numbers would be adjusted, so this wouldn't necessarily be a straight-up buff. It could even result in a slight nerf in terms of her using it against minions.

I feel like they'd have to nerf her solo lane heal like they did with darius but make her scale better in teamfights... When she does get ahead she can be pretty crazy as is however so it's a really tough call

As long as the the healing for each hit is reduced for the next hit or reduced healing from minions.

most likely reduced for minions, like current.

How about we make it heal based on damage dealt before mitigation?

Numbers might get nerfed, but I feel it would be a better fix...

Or even heal based on missing health. Four makes it so she doesn't get a huge chunk in burst. It'd be delayed over at least 4 seconds, but Irelia could delay it in order to make optimal use of the heal too. I think it'd make her gameplay more interesting. This would make her less stat-sticky as far as healing, which is always a good thing.

Based on targets hit would most likely lead it to feeling too strong or too weak.
