The same is true of many immobile champions. Master Yi preys on immobile squishies that are alone. Actually he preys on tanks too. And if he can easily kill a tank one on one, what hope do you have?
If you get your stun on him you might live, but in general don't be caught out as the immobile mid laner.
It is far easier for him to kill you if he catches you out than it is for you to escape him.
