Never really understood why she, Ahri, and even Katarina got updated splashes (and icons) when other champions could use it more.

But.. I think that all three of them look very beautiful ._. They're also more representative of their characters, and gave them a recognizable face. I also feel the new splashes tell you something about the characters, something a lot of the old splashes failed to do.
I don't really get the hate for the new splashes and making characters look older. Does everyone need to look 16?
I like the new ahri and janna more tbh (here come the downvotes) but im not a fan of the katarina one.
What about the BEAUTIFUL Kayle Splash that got reworked for no reason?
For me, Janna looks older now. Before, she seems to be more a teen or being around 19-20 years old. Now, she looks older. Shes also seems to have more confidence.
For Katarina, I prefer the new one all the way. Seems more like Kat. ^^
I like the newer splashes better. That's just like, your opinion man.
The moment when you realize "Insert a Champion Icon" button still uses Ahri's old splash.

So basically she got a Fiora style update.
The main reason I dislike the new Kat splash art is her right leg.
It just doesn't look right at all.
+1 to this - Janna's on my list of splashes I keep returning to the old ones. List is: Ahri, Katarina, Kayle, Anivia, Janna, Tristana - and after recent events also Fiora.

Although i think both pieces are nice i would still have to choose the newer one as it fits with the current version of her..Janna is after all a mature and wise adult now, i would have doubts about her age if they keep the 1st one because she looks like shes 16 or something..Also the newer one i feel has the most vibes when it comes to someone who has supposedly "mastered her craft" as some kind of wind mage/goddess.
So much has changed since 2010 ,but hey 
is awesome.
