yasuo is an abomination
either nerf yasuo or nerf the kidneystone mastery
either nerf yasuo or nerf the kidneystone mastery
LoLed at the kidneystone mastery.
I thought he was an abomination long before 5.22
also did anyone else rofl after reading kidneystone mastery ?
he had a low winrate before 5.22 as well though.
While being one of the most popular champions.
before 5.22 i belive it was about 48%
He was at, over, or within a tenth of a percent of 50% for a few months. I'd say low is below 46 or so. His win rate was climbing long before this patch pushed him farther over the edge than he already was. More people started seeing the significance of leveling E rather than the Q max first that everyone else went, and they starting winning a lot more as a result.
He was too strong before the preseason patch, and now he's so strong due to masteries, and itemization that he used in addition to what his competition are forced to deal with that it would be unreasonable for nerfs not to be considered.
It was definitely at ~48.6% in plat+ ranked before this patch. I won't disagree with you that he's broken this patch because he definitely is, I'm just saying that before he wasn't that broken. While he does a lot of damage, he has one defensive skill that is very good but useless against melee champs or champs who can maneuver around it. I think he needs some kind of champion specific nerf to warriors bloodlust, as now it's 100% impossible to get him out of lane when he lifesteals to full hp with just cloak of agility.
he has one defensive skill
One that negates the majority of ranged attacks. He also has a dash that he can use a bunch of times if there's anyone in the vicinity (so impossible to catch with minions near or heck, if there's just people) AND an easy-to-refresh shield, as well as a knockup. You try to make it sound as if he's defenseless.
The shield eventually takes so much flow to actually be full that lategame you'll only ever have it at the start of the fight and right after ulting. It can be easily popped pre fight with any poke skill and be down for ~8 seconds. . Yasuos entire weakness as a champion is lackluster defensives, His windwall only works to protect him from one direction or he has to play around with it and be restricted to the windwall. It's a very good skill, but if he is surrounded he will go down with one or two skills very quickly. My opinion might be pretty biased as he's my most played champion in this game after Ezreal, but I'm just trying to be objective here.
Sorry, no, no and no. Master Yi or Fiora are champions with no defenses. Not someone who literally has a big unbreakable aoe spellshield. And oh no, you get to have the shield two times in a fight. How defenseless. You're forgetting that the more people there are, the more you can dash around and avoid any skillshots.
You are tying to tiptoe around the fact that Yasuo actually has plenty of defense, it just takes someone who doesn't have brain damage not to mess them up. It's a common tactic when players main broken champions, they try to assume that everyone playing them is an utter moron who's too stupid to abuse them. And yeah, I've seen a ton of Yasuos who don't bother to abuse their practically-no-cd dash to avoid pretty much any skillshot coming their way. That doesn't make Yasuo not broken though. It just means it's possible to mess up with him. The same arguments get used for Thresh. Thresh is not balanced because the players are too stupid to click his lantern. Player stupidity is not an argument.
you forget that fiora LITERALLY has an unbreakable AOE spellshield that even blocks SUMMONER SPELLS, as well as a built in heal, regardless of direction. Master Yi has alpha strike, which allows him to easily render a skill completely worthless on a MUCH shorter cooldown, and meditate which gives him 70% damage reduction and healing. You are comparing a directional ability that ONLY block projectiles to these skills. Obviously you have your mind set on that hes op, but you fail to see how his skills are mediocre compared to others.
Fiora has an unbreakable aoe spellshield...You mean that 0,75 sec one that only works on herself? Yeah, that's totally the same as an aoe spellshield that can protect half of your team for almost 4 seconds. If we're counting heals, how about all the free stats given to Yasuo that contribute to his ridiculous arpen and crit chance and as such increase his lifesteal?
And really? Yasuo's spellshield blocks the majority of attacks. I like how you try and make it seem like it doesn't by emphasizing it blocks "projectiles", as if the vast vast majority of damaging abilities don't fall into that category. Yasuo's spellshield is also incredibly generous when it comes to timing, which is more than I can say for someone like Yi or Fiora.
Alpha strike? You mean that half-a-second lasting ability which doubles as his gapcloser? Heal that roots him in place and makes him unable to do anything? Yi is in the worst state when it comes to defense. No-one is ever going to let Yi heal anything and killing him is for the most part a matter of just waiting for him to alpha strike and then throw all cc on him since his only engage is also his defense. Again, we are functioning on the assumption that the players have a brain and aren't bottom of the barrel bronze.
Also, I'm far from the only one "set" on him being op. There's a reason he's so massively abused and it isn't because you're the only special snowflake who knows how to handle his "high skill floor".
I emphasize that it only blocks projectiles because yasuo is almost completely defenseless against any melee attacker who can get to him. Jax, Riven, Darius, Fiora, Renekton, Tryndamere, xin xhao, mordekaiser etc he gets completely steamrolled by, as his only option fighting them is to dash into them or onto creeps which are rarely nearby unless he is in lane. Annie and Leblanc counter him very hard even though he has windwall, because they do not care. It doesn't block a Viktor laser or a viktor ultimate etc, there are just so many abilities and champions who don't care. In my earlier post i said sure he is broken this patch 100% due to the crit chance changes and warriors bloodlust, he actually has a 53% winrate atm which is EXTREMELY high for what he's had. Yasuo is 100% throw cc on him kill him instantly because all he has to defend himself is his one very good ability, once it's used you can EASILY take him out if you land your abilities. Granted I will 100% agree he is too strong this patch, before this patch him boasting a 48% winrate in plat+ where actually decent players are and not garbage silver/bronze where his entire lead comes from the fact that players are so bad they can't keep up with his CS may have shown he was in an ok spot.
Chill. Make a proper statement why, no one is going to consider this if you cant put time into your arguement.,
Chill. Make a proper statement why, no one is going to consider this if you cant put time into your arguement.,
You're seriously asking why?

You're seriously asking why?
He is fairly broken, but you might wanna say why? Why would Rito even attempt to look at this Low Quality shit if you cant explain why he should be in a civilized manor?
He's already brutally unfun to play against... and the new mastery gives him MORE stats he didn't pay for. 15% lifesteal to go with his bonus crit, bonus health shield and bonus Armor pen ult. The schmuck doesn't need another 1000 gold in free stats. He has enough!
Let's do a quick analysis, shall we? Here are the items Yasuo needs to hit 100% critical strike chance:
Statikk Shiv - 2500 gold
Cloak of Agility - 800 gold
For 3300 gold (and the keystone), he gets the following benefits:
This is 100 gold **cheaper **than a Blade of the Ruined King, which gives the following stats:
That's a pretty massive disparity in gold efficiency, don't you think?
At least NOTE, that now the passive only goes off on champions, you also need to note that it's not "15% LIFE STEAL and 20% attack speed" It's every 2 seconds, it isn't permanent, you also need to take into account the blade of the ruined king passive and active. Although Statik scaling better with Yasuo either way. Don't start making up BS to prove a point.

At least NOTE, that now the passive only goes off on champions
This is not currently the case, unless I'm misinformed; it's a future hotfix.
you also need to note that it's not "15% LIFE STEAL and 20% attack speed" It's every 2 seconds, it isn't permanent
Let's read out the description, shall we?
"Critical strikes heal for 15% of the damage dealt and grant you 20% attack speed for 4 seconds (2 second cooldown)."
This means that, when at 100% critical strike chance, the mastery has 100% uptime and is thus permanent.
you also need to take into account the blade of the ruined king passive and active. Although Statik scaling better with Yasuo either way.
I...did.
"This is 100 gold cheaper than a Blade of the Ruined King, which gives the following stats:
Don't start making up BS to prove a point.
Nothing in my post is made up, because it's literally pulled from the items and mastery information.
1: Thats what I meant 2: The 15% extra healing only 1 auto, doesn't last for 4 seconds, only the Extra attack speed 3: Take in account the fact that the passive and active are worth gold. 4: Yes making up BS by not fully explaining the changes. 5: I'm not defending Yasuo in anyway if it's what your thinking, I'm simply stating what you needed to clarify in your comment.
[{quoted}](name=Soulbound X,realm=NA,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=lcELMKdp,comment-id=0000000000000001000000000000,timestamp=2015-11-14T03:49:14.644+0000)
2: The 15% extra healing only 1 auto, doesn't last for 4 seconds, only the Extra attack speed
Interesting. The wording is pretty unclear if this is the case, is anyone else able to validate that this is how it interacts?
3: Take in account the fact that the passive and active are worth gold.
Feel free to quantify the passive and active in gold value if you'd like. There isn't an applicable parallel from which to pull the value of a given passive, however, so good luck.
1: Yes it's the case, wordings a bit weird but let me make it clear. "Critical Strikes heal you for 15% of the damage dealt PAUSE and grant you 20% attack speed for 4 seconds." If it were worded for the healing to be all 4 seconds it would be, " If you Critical Strike, for the next 4 seconds you heal for 15% of damage dealt and are granted 20% attack speed. (2 Second CD).
he is just OP as hell ;) (yas main myself)
Do you have anything to backup your statement? Or are you just making up stuff because you lost badly to a Yasuo in a game?
I for one think he's a little over the top, the mastery puts him over the edge with the heal and attack speed, and his overall build is easier to get quicker due to infinity edge cost down (Slight nerf though) and increase in gold all around so statik is easier to get early. I don't think he'd need any tuning though after the Mastery is nerfed (It's going to be hotfixed nerfed next week).
Their a constructive argument, with valid points, all you have is Fuck Yasuo he's an abomination, etc.
Yasou having 100% crit in 3k gold is a relatively good reason.
That 100% crit thing was so disgusting when I first saw it. Left a bad taste in my mouth
They're going to hotfix the mastery, so it only procs on champions, instead of everything. Should be a nice nerf to yasou / tryndamere. The mastery will still be incredibly OP, but it's a start.
champion proc is even worse. now he can just stay on you and heal huge chunks. not a good change at all.
I... The hell are you talking about? It's JUST a nerf, before you could heal off any unit, now it's only Champions...
a simple point, both yasuo and tryndamere excel at pushing their wave and sticking to the opponent champion behind the minion wave, so effectively, this nerfs every champion, but nerfs other champions harder than yasuo or tryndamere because they do not have the defensive stats or abilities to keep up an assault
i want him removed this champ is just so frustrating to play against
I can think of a lot of champions that are frustrating to play against. Im not seeing your point
Love how useful the LoL community is...
EVERY complaint EVER
Title: Insert vague remark about the subject using a negative adjective

Community suggestions in a nutshell.
Why not post something useful, like how to NERF Yasuo, and put some thought in it. We all know he's OP, now tell us how to fix him, we don't need your stupid ass restating shit we already know.
We don't need your condescending "stupid ass" preaching your nonsense here. I couldn't care less for suggestions. I'm not getting payed to offer fixes, and I'm sure as hell not rewarded with good gameplay either for the past year minimum.. Not to mention Riot's not doing its part towards players. No, more dumb skins and bundles, dumb decal emblems/emotes and more ways to take money from the consumer, are not being done for the playerbase that's for damn sure.
I sure as hell am not going to offer any bloody fixes when this shit ships to live straight out of PBE without any sort of player feedback being taken into account, when communication is second to none towards the community, when their policies are cancer, and when their player-support is second to worst only surpassed by Steam. [slayer-jinx-catface]
Ya' know, balancing over 100 champions and a changing meta isn't exactly easy for any company.
800 gold executioners blade for all your healing needs

800 gold executioners blade for all your healing needs
He still has godly sustain in early game. The mastery gives him the one thing his laning lacked; Sustain. With 2 items for 100% crit, he needs to be toned down,
then wait a week its being modified cause you know, new items and all*[zombie-brand-mindblown]*
You must be new here and to how riot does balance.
and like I stated the crit masteries being changed woooow [slayer-pantheon-rainbows]
They already made the announcement that they're changing the mastery... I don't know why Dec Corner articles aren't on first page
The mastery won't be enough. He'll still be too strong even if the entire mastery were to disappear.
yeah the stattik shyv buff is insane for him...
All it does now is a bit extra damage towards minions when using the passive :l
The extra crit rate? it gives 30% crit now, so with just shiv he already hits 60%.
Ahh my bad forgot that change, though didn't they increase the cost on it , and reduce the movement speed as well? Correct me if I'm wrong.
the cost increase is offset a lot by the higher gold gen in game now. (Especially if he is starting Cull) The movespeed is a slight nerf to it for him, but he already has decent enough mobility where it barely matters in comparison. 1% movespd for effectively an extra 20% critrate on him is a ridiculously good tradeoff
