@Riot, can we have a Diana rework instead of a new champ?

I've played over 1000 games of Diana on my accounts combined & she I can say without a doubt that she's in desperate need of a rework.

Her kit is outdated and old. She's always off meta, & if she gets buffed to the point where she's in meta (never happened), she'd be way too OP.

Her Splash is outdated. Compared to most of the champions we have now, her Visuals (both splash and ingame) are very outdated. I know its not as bad as some other champions but Diana has sooo much potential for a better splash art.

The current AP items make no sense on her because her playstyle makes no sense. She's classified as a fighter because she has no escape but is built like an AP assassin because of her scalings.

Diana just needs to be defined as a champion & given a small (not even a full) rework. Her E and R are the 2 main abilities that need to be tweaked to make her more fun & healthy as a champion.

Careful what you wish for. Instead of a Diana rework you'll likely get a new champion named Diana.

Agreed, her E feels weird as hell to use and is constantly bugged. She suffers from Akali syndrome where her post-6 gameplay takes a massive power curve. While her ult is on cooldown, she's practically useless. I say tone down her ult and move it to her E. Give her a new R that makes her feel more like a bruiser rather than a tanky assassin.

As I Diana main, I agree, she certainly needs some changes. I'm just not sure how to change her.

IMO, the biggest problem with Diana is how her intended playstyle NEVER fits the meta. Diana is supposed to be an AP DPS melee fighters... however:

  • AD DPS melee fighters like Jax Irelia MasterYi Aatrox Tryndamere XinZhao Yasuosimply outscale her because her DPS is tied to her AP and attack speed scaling. Diana's first two attacks NEVER hurt unless she buys AD (which is a waste on her since she has no AD scalings).

  • She has no innate sustain and the only sustain she can buy (item 3146) doesn't synergize with this playstyle or even her kit tbh (she only gets full healing off her R). So her survivability in a fight is a complete statcheck.

  • She has no innate durability apart from W, so she would have to build a couple of defensive items to not instantly get blown up. In her current state, Diana cannot afford to build defensive items because of how strong MR itemization is, especially with the release of item 3194.

If Riot ever reworks her to this intended playstyle then they'd essentially have to create a completely new kit for her.

Agree she need a GU but for her splash art...are you kidding? Is beautiful! I don't see her outdated in the concept art. :/

I hope she will stay as an assasin type champion, i dont wanna build her as tank, assasin like playstyle is way more fun anyways

Riot is not a small indiecompany. They have sections for everything, what I mean by this is that: One section works with X vgu while another section works with a new champion.

riot keeps trying to turn her into a dps mage yet all I see is W>Q>R boop dead assassinations, maybe if she didn't have such reliable burst she would be played differently

Diana has such weird powerspikes man. Pre-6 she sucks but after 6 holy moly she can dominate many lanes since she doesn't have a long ult cooldown. If the enemy laner's ultimate is on cooldown she can generally walk over them. I like playing her but she needs her E and R worked on, having her ult for her gapcloser makes her too similar to Akali anyway.

@Riot, can we have a Wukong rework instead of a new champ?
