Talon W

Needs some hitbox clarification, on the going out and returning range. Especially the going out projectiles, as it looks like he's throwing out thin blades, but it hits further than that.

No I'm not salty I just won lane against Talon as TF and noticed this.

Play a game of talon and you'll get the feel of it. It is a bit different than what it used to be

The blades open up after reaching max range which makes their hit-box slightly larger.

Talon's laning combo is already so linear and predictable. This would actually end up being a nerf to him lol

Getting proper hitboxes?

Plus, just because something's predictable doesn't mean it has meaningful counterplay. Ever wonder why they play Talon top in Korea?

I mean idk what you want them to do. There's tons of other shit that has unclear hitboxes and riot has never addressed them. E.g. Varus Q, Sion Q sometimes clipping you over the edge, and whatever else. Maybe I'd even argue Morganna's Q.

The blades go out in a cone, and then the max range increases on the return. Thats all you gotta know. Besides, you're supposed to be side-stepping Talon's W anyway.

It's actually already got the extended range on the way out, which is the problem.

Yes, but it doesn't slow. So if he's clipping you at the very edge of his initial W you should be able to walk out before the return hits you for a 2nd stack. On top of that the initial W does LESS damage. So it's inefficient for him to use a max range initial W as harass because the most optimal thing to do is to land the return, which against any half brained enemy wouldn't get hit by if he's hitting a max range initial W. Do you understand so far?

Therefore, whenever a Talon throws a W he should be looking to place the target WITHIN the cone so that the enemy simply can't walk out of the return and he can set up his combo. This is more of a quality of life issue than something that is "OP" or exploitable. If you are finding problems with his initial W hitbox then you just don't know how to play against a Talon properly.

The only problem I see from this is if he clips you with the initial W and finishes you off with it. Which probably feels pretty bad, but if you're running around even remotely close to a Talon hovering at ~10% HP you deserve to die anyway.

Anyone else impressed he beat a Talon in lane as TF?

He tried to cheese me early on, but didn't get the Q crit (he flashed but not close enough), so my Barrier barely kept me alive through his damage and Ignite. It was a very close thing.

After that, well... you know how League snowballs...
