Experienced players: What is the state of Karthus right now?
Just curious. As a Karthus main, I wanted to know where he stands right now.

Very lack luster. The rise of the AD assassins has made his already relatively weak lane phase even more harsh.
Not to mention the, in my opinion, completely unnecessary nerf to his wall of pain a few patches back and the meta being so snowbally and mid game dependent. He just doesn't have the time to scale into the monster he can be.
Useless Wall of Pain. Any Maw of Malmortius users are 2 tiers above him. His late game is overrated.
He usually stand next to the whole team suicide squad style

Karthus always struggles when poke/high burst is the meta. He's still playable against short range teams that have to get up close and personal though, but those are far and few between.
not good with new death timers and his slow is terribad
he could use some love
So be sides my advised buffs listed above I feel (Even though he is my favorite champ) he is weak.
Landing a string of single target Q's often is unsatisfying because the enemy gets a way or they emote laugh at you missing to only get wasted 3 times and still be at half health and under their turret.
The wall nerrf hurt alot and was unnecessary. He is regarded as garbage by people that lack the skill and temperament to play him or think he is just an easy R win button.

He's in the backburner for now, until the Immobile Mage update happens. Hopefully the mages will get more anti-AD items.
