And out of those 11 games, 9 times, not only did I go positive, I had the best KDA on the team.

Why do people still think KDA matters?

"We lost but I had the best KDA, that means my team sucks and I didn't deserve to lose"

KD doesn't matter, but I think KDA does matter a whole lot.

Kill participation in general isn't entirely inaccurate. If you see someone who goes 10/0/0, that's not as good as it sounds if your team has 50 kills. 20% kill participation? No thanks. Much rather have someone go 0/0/30, or even 0/0/20.

that's unrealistic. supports have a harder time surviving because of the items they're required to buy and the lower stats in general. not that it matters, but i think you should throw in some deaths to be fair.

No it really doesn't unless you go like 0 30 0 or anything comparable.

There are champs who have high KDAs just due to the nature of their kit...Janna mains for example average a KDA of 5 or higher, i think my gf has 6+ KDA with her in over 200 ranked games and then there are champs like Yasuo or Tryndamere who just die alot without getting many assists (especially Tryndamere) so their KDA is often lower than 2 but they can still have huge impacts in the games.

Who contributed more to winning, the 2 7 1 Tryndamere who took down 3 turrets and 2 inhibs or the 7 1 11 Lux who got her kills and assists from fighting mid while Trynd got objectives for his team?

Yes sir. Tryn is kinda like jarvan also during team fights or back dooring an inhib. Sometimes you got take one for the team. press R and keep wackin an inhib until u rage all over that muthafka. Kills don't mean much at all. You could be 1-3-2 and be a split pusher who takes the entire enemies team base while the enemy team is fighting mid and win it for your team. Does that mean you got carried? No, you carried.

you can have the best KDA you want, if you don't get objectives (towers) you aren't winning the game.

k/d/a doesnt mean you're going to win. were you being toxic by complaining about your teammates? you've gotta be a team player and help everyone not just yourself. doesnt mean it will work, but it will definitely help. if you're so concerned about it just recruit a team of gold players.

People always say "kDa does t mean anything", but often it does.

People just want to assume op didn't do anything but get kills, when high kDa usually means they were doing everything including objectives and pushing, ect.

But people don't care.
