I should not demote in other ranks from splash LP

I was Gold II in Mid Lane at 0 LP and was autofilled to jungle, a role I do not play and have yet to even play a single placement match in this season.

I ended up losing that jungle game.

Much to my surprise though, I received -3 LP as a result to all my other roles, and the cherry on top was that I demoted from Gold II in my mid lane to Gold III 75 LP.

I do not believe that if roles are separate in rankings that I should be able to be demoted in my main role when I get autofilled. It doesn't make sense and is punishing me for something I do not have any control over whatsoever. My jungle ranking is a representation of my skill in JUNGLE. It should NOT be able to dramatically effect my main role by demoting me and forcing me to play 3-4 extra games to make up for a -3 LP loss I received from an off role.

If Riot didn't allow demotions, there'd be no reason to try at all for your off roles. You could int them and it wouldn't affect your main role at all.

the entire point is that you should be trying to win your offrole games. If there was no risk of you ever being demoted on your main role then you would just troll and int every single off role game ever since you would get no repercussion on the role you do care about

They could make it give you negative LP like dodging at 0 LP..
