Ryze's rework and his ultimate passive cdr.

WARNING: This is based off number alone since I sadly don't have a pbe account Ryze rework is definitely a foot in the right direction for him. But does anybody find it weird his q isn't a static cool down and it is the cool down that his new passive decreases. So cool down decreases the power of his passive technically I wouldn't bother to care about this but his ult gives 30 percent cool down reduction. After doing some math his passive at max rank of his ult would decrease his passive to 2.8 seconds. A fix to this problem would making his q a static cool down like Udyr's stances or Sona's basic skills. making your passive not scale off your overload cool down, or if this was intentional getting a point in your ult at 6 then level it up when you reach 17 and 18. Tell me what you think in the comments about your opinions about this topic in the comments! Thank you for reading my board. Ryze

Edit: Sorry if I forgot to include the other spells cool downs from the cool down reduction I will soon do a update of the math of comparison between each other.

Yea, it seems really counter-productive to make the passive reduce by an ability's cd when redcuing that ability's cd reduces the effectiveness of the passive. Overall it probably doesn't have a massive effect being that the lost 1.2s of cooldown reduction are easily applied via the cdr to the abilities passively. Maybe the intent was to just make cdr more helpful for ryze when he's not empowered.

you forget that the cdr also reduces the cd of all other spells. it's not like you could cast spells faster without cdr than with cdr on new ryze. no matter how much cdr you have, q will always be rest by 100% of it's cd, W by 20% and E by 50%. Cdr still benefits ryze and certainly doesn't harm him, he just doesn't hyperscale with it anymore.

It's still beneficial to have CDR, though. ALL spells, not just Q, will be reduced in cooldown, meaning that when his passive comes into effect, each spellcast reduces all of his other spells' cooldowns by the same percentage of their total cooldown, regardless of how much CDR you have.
