Support Idea: Gold for "Saves"

You know how the game can tell when you were supposed to die while you hold Phantom Dancer? We could make a new "thing" in the game based on saving allies that would have otherwise died from an attack if your shield/heal landed on them close to when that attack landed. It'd be a source of income and you could make it a traceable stat.

Thoughts? (Main issue I see here is that you couldn't get this for just cc'ing someone, so it's hard to apply to tank supports)

problem with this is it would encourage leaving your teammates vulnerable toil just right about when they die, which would then result in them dying more.

Support gold is actually in a pretty good place, to be honest. The only reason why they get less gold is because they don't get as much CS as the other roles do.

I used this example when talking with someone else about this, but like using my stats from this season so far:

Top Lane:

  • Average CS Per Game: 229
  • Average Gold Per Game: 13,210
  • KDA: 2.39

Support:

  • Average CS Per Game: 47
  • Average Gold Per game: 10,376
  • KDA: 3.23

Now we know this isn't the actual amount, but lets say every minion gave 20 Gold

229-47= 182 182*20= 3,640

So if you took that number and added it back to the Support Gold Average. it would be 14,106.

If you gave Supports items/things that granted them even more gold, you'd just have every mage ever playing support(more so than its already becoming) and getting big items for free basically, and then actual supports would be used less.
