When people complain about normals disparity

They aren't asking for the reason. they are asking to change it. we know why. normals MMR is different. bla bla bla. but its not a reasonable thing to match diamonds and masters with unranked players. its quite awful.

So you basically want something that bases your normals MMR off your ranked MMR (i'm assuming). There are probably client restrictions on this, but they could be solved in the long run.

umm obviously if you make it to diamond or above. your much better at the game. than unranked players may i say that?

Yeah. So what you are saying, is that diamond players get matched with diamond players in normals. LIKE I SAID.

something along those lines. at least. make some sort of a line. for example. golds can play with unrankeds. but plats and diamonds can't. obviously if they duo they can. but they can't be matched against them on normal circumstances

I'd say that there should be some math equation. Like 75% of your normals MMR is decided by ranked MMR, but the other 25% you can fluctuate around in. Or something.

Probably the most reasonable option, since a lot of probably don't play the same way on normals. Though my main concern would be, what is the Ranked:Normals ratio for high ELO players? Cause that is going to affect Riots ability to even match high ELO players with others of similar rank.

The problem I have with this statement is, MMR is different form Rank. perhaps you don't think of it that way, (on the assumption that MMR and rank won't deviate that much) but Unranked doesn't necessarily mean noob. Unranked could mean a newcomer, it could mean a diamond level smurf, or it could mean someone like me. (someone who doesn't care about rank)

This isn't to say that smurfs or casuals are more common than noobs in the Unranked sphere, but if an unranked player had diamond level MMR in Normals, there's no problem with them getting matched with Rank Diamond players.

I was just throwing some theoretical stuff out there... just to get the ideas rolling.

Pretty much my thoughts, maybe the percentages could change, like 50-50 to make up for trying new roles or so. I sure don't enjoy getting matched against 3 diamonds and 2 plats when we have golds and silvers even though I got tons of normal wins. There was a case where I got matched against a Master at top lane when I was Platinum 5, got there as jungle/support/adc last season and top is my weakest lane, most likely around mid silver if even that. Not that Riot has a way to detect that or it might make queues really long but getting stomped is never fun.

So...you are complaining that you don't play enough normals for your Normal MMR to be worth anything, or are you saying you refuse to play with diamond rank skill players that happen to not play ranked and are thus unranked with high MMR?

Either way, stop being pretentious and try to have fun.
