What i consider to be better than nerfs/buffs

Since we already have a load of champions who need reworks to back that up ill post some examples before you flame me -urgot -fiora -gankplank -taric -poppy -lee sin -galio -prolly shen -evelyn -and prolly mf

this is just a part of the list

this is why would like to propose a cetrain thing since all of those reworks are aimed at making champion more unique in the way they interact with the game as well as more healthy

why not throw the buffs and nerfs on a later plan and focus on tweaks to kill the generalist type of champions, and enforce champions in their niches

xerath is a general mage just like vel koz and anivia, why not start by giving them some distinctive diferences, lets say that xerath deals more damage, or his skills cower a bigger aread depending on how far he casts them away from himself, his theme is range ... a freaking magic artilery, make him one

as far as we get mostly nerfs and buffs, all we get is a shuffling pool of champions who are better right now example to back it up the always present circle of junglers, you nerf one and the other takes his place, there is no such decision as who does your team need actualy, its just who does the job the best at the time but when everyone is actualy distinctive, then nerfging/buffing them stopps interacting this hard with other champions state

Riot have actually stated that they want to do this. They are just very, very, VERY slow at bringing that vision to the game.

(Case in point, around a year so, they talked about doing this to make Lee Sin have more defined strengths and weaknesses - he still hasn't been changed, and now tank junglers outshine him so his problems are out of the spotlight and probably won't be looked at any day soon.)

i think that they implemented it in a diferent way

what they do is not tweak the champions, but nerf their weakness to preserwe their defining features

the thing is that it has the same effect, just shuffles the champion pool, because champions arent defined enough by their kits

Nerfing weaknesss emphasises strengths, though, so it does help differentiate the champion pool.

The problem with champions like Lee Sin is that they don't actually have any defined weaknesses to nerf, which is why they are so problematic to balance.

but does it diferentate hard enough ? i think that its not, because similar kits do similar things, so its still bouncing numbers around and one champion will end with better ones while other will have worse numbers
