Has anyone tried this yet?

Does the "Shield" from Overheal and/or The Bloodthirster work with Shield Bash?

I understand that Marksmen don't usually have a lot of bonus health, and the shield(s) from Overheal (maximum shield size scales with maximum health) and The Bloodthirster (maximum shield size scales with level) don't get that large respectively, but IN THEORY, a marksman with good positioning and peel should be able to apply the hit from Shield Bash multiple times, .. IF it works the way I think it should.

First of all, .. I don't know that it works at all.

I am also unsure if it only calculates Shield Bash damage when you first gain the shield, or if it recalculates the damage when you increase the shield size.

I'm also curious if it can only be applied "once per shield", .. as in, you need to lose and regain the shield before being able to apply it again. Otherwise, each time you increase the size of the shield, you would theoretically "gain a new shield"

If this is the case, the additional damage SHOULD cause you to gain additional health with your lifesteal, making your shield larger, making your Shield Bash deal additional damage, .. which gives you more health, giving you a bigger shield, increasing the bonus damage from Shield Bash ... until you reach your maximum shield, .. then I guess you would no longer gain Shield Bash until you take damage, depleting your shield..

If anyone knows any of these answers, I would appreciate if you could let me know. Otherwise I'll probably just figure it out for myself later tonight.

Just tried this in practice tool, unfortunately, it does not seem as if shield bash can proc multiple times off of the bloodthirster shield. Even when you increase the shield by autoing more, you it still counts as the same shield, therefore making it so you only proc it once when you initially got the shield. When you lose the shield and then get it back though, you do get a new proc, so the only real way this can be abused is if you take just a little damage, auto to get the shield back, then take enough damage to burn through the shield again, and etc.

Yeah, I figured it might work that way. Maybe it wouldn't be so good for someone that is going to be in the backline taking no damage, ... but maybe a mid-range marksman or even skirmisher / fighter with A LOT of sustain, more like a drain-tank.
