Tahm Kench's ratios on Devour/Regurgitate, a statistical oddity.

Is there a reason they're so lop sided?

Devoured Target Magic Damage: 20 / 23 / 26 / 29 / 32% (+ 2% per 100 AP) of target's maximum health

Projectile Impact Damage: 100 / 150 / 200 / 250 / 300 (+ 60% AP)

Let's say Tahm somehow gets his hands on 500 AP (Just for the sake of big numbers.) Normally 500 AP equals around a 100% increase in damage. And in fact, on the projectile version it does increase his damage from 300 to 600.

However! That would only increase his champion damage from 32% to 42%, Which is only a measly 30% increase in damage!

Is there a reason for such a stark difference in power on the very same ability?

Something like 25% max hp (+5% per 100 AP) would be more in line with the usual standard of power. Which would math out to 50% max HP at 500 AP vs the current 42%. At around 230~240 AP each version would balance out for 37% HP.

Bump.

Eating a minion or monster deals both the % HP damage AND the projectile damage (the %HP only applies to the target though). So...

But anyway, do you really think it would be fair for Tahm to go around dealing ~65% of someone's MAX health in one ability? xD That's why.

Ah, didn't know that! It's hard to see the exact numbers because of how clustered they are. XD

It needs three stacks before it can be activated and the ability itself takes a second or so to actually do damage, so it's not the easiest of abilities to use. Not to mention that 500 AP is a LOT. That's pretty much a 5 AP item build. But the point is that it's out of proportion. Ideally they would lower the, ridiculously, high base in exchange for more scaling. And it's not like Tahm is tearing it up or anything. His winrate is a steady 45~47%.

Something like 25% hp (+5% per 100 AP) would be more in line with the usual standard of power.

Because hitting someone for 64% of their max health wouldn't be balanced. Next question?

Yea. Why are you assuming I want it to hit for 64%?
