Should Tristana's Buster Shot (ultimate) be a skill-shot?

One thing that makes Tristana ultra safe is that she has powerful self-peel from Buster Shot. Even if you dive her, she just blasts you away without help from a tank or support. And the big problem? You can't counterplay it outside of taking Fizz (or other Champions who can be untargetable) or buying a Banshee's Veil.

Honestly, I feel like Buster Shot should always have been a skill-shot, capable of MISSING. Being able to dodge it would completely justify its power. But that's my opinion.

Meh. Virtually every comparable ability is point and click (Thundering Blow, Dragon's Rage, Heabutt, Condemn... arguably Crescent Sweep and Monsoon). It's not like a point and click knockback is something unique to Tristana that's obviously OP in every instance, and the ability's already been nerfed in recent memory. Self-peel is one of Tristana's most defining features as an ADC, and just like giving a champion's kit more and more goodies until they become powerful is bad design, indiscriminately taking crap away from them until they become weak shouldn't be the default choice of action either.

Find what Tristana needs to be an effective champion with a defined niche, and take away the stuff she has that isn't that. If self-peel is part of her identity as a late game auto attacking hyper carry, then hit stuff like her insane pushing power, grievous wounds or slow that are nice to have, but secondary to her niche as a champion.

Assuming that she needs nerfs, which I'm not convinced of after this latest patch, but whatever.

Christ, it's a verb now?

My least favorite buzz word is breeding, it seems.

I don't like the idea of it being a skill shot. It also means that she can use it just as someone is in range of it to use as a peel instead of having to target them instead. Also changing it into a skill show doesn't really change it that much imo as it still functions the same if you execute her moves correctly.

It would require more skill to pull off and could be avoided at times. That's a pretty big difference. Personally I think it's a good idea.

the range of the projectile wouldn't change at all, so your point is meaningless. She could hit someone at max range with it just like now with it being targeted, with the key difference being that it is possible to miss if they are that far out.
