Autofill supports

I have a dilemma right now, i chose to be a support main because i knew that noone wanted to do it, and i rock as a support! i actually want to be there! i know the matchups and i can make the plays, but sometimes i as a support cant win the game for my team.

i can play any roll pretty well, weakest being midlane, so ive been opting to jungle because i play a mean shaco, but with that every single support that gets placed is an Autofill support. who doesnt want to be there, has no idea what it means to support, and will usually just pick mages thinking they can cheese everyone (never works on me or any other deticated support player).

this is the reason Autofill needs to be removed, or there should be a queue that people can join to avoid autofill all together.

Support mains make up about 17% of all players in league, so you have a grand chance of your support being autofilled.

one of two things need to happen. add a new queue avoiding autofill, or people need to get better at this game and learn atleast 4 champs in each roll very well. like cmon.... if you cant do that then you honestly deserve bronze, if you cant play the other rolls you cant understand them.

Literally i switched from adc main to support main. People think its so easy and braindead but once they get it all they do is whine complain or try and play a mage and hope they can low key steal as many kills as possible to 1v5.

Taking away autofill would be great for many reasons...but i highly doubt that all the people who say they dont mind waiting 5+ mins for a q will actually be ok with it once it happens...

This. I am an adc main, and I get so many supports that show no presence in lane, then blame me for not being able to farm or for losing lane when I have to play safe just to auto minions. Now, I play all roles and have at least two mastery 7's per role, but nothing tilts me more than getting autofill supports that blame my for losing lane when it was 100% their fault. I literally had an autofill Ali support in ranked who gave up first blood bot lane greeding for a cannon minion with 100 health, he literally used headbutt on it, didn't even kill it, then instantly died. The jungler and him blamed me for losing the rest of the game

Honestly, if the autofill didn't exist, the queue time would jump up another ten minutes if you weren't going as a support.

If Riot could eliminate autofill, they would. It causes longer queue times and players leave though, so the system right now is the best compromise for player retention

None of your supports in these games were god awful, all built Frostfang so they have some idea about the role

I don't think these games were unwinnable at all, I think if you played better you could carry these

I don't know how rational making a new queue would be because the majority, if not all people would rather queue up for what they picked. One example I think hits home with everyone is that if you ever play with the same people and everyone is like I only play top, Mid, or jungle or blah, then it's fair to say that other people want to try those roles. For someone to always get a certain role, especially when you play with multiple people, doesn't seem to give anyone any understanding other then their lane.

A side note though. I do agree that games tend to feel awful when someone doesn't know the role, but who's fault is it really. Is it the games, or a person's game knowledge.

It's super fun when my autofill supp says fuck it, picks a mage like Brand or Malz, farms my creeps with their abilities and completely ignores me as a laner.
