I'm actually considering a mid Tahm with poaching smite that makes devour runs into the enemy jungle. It will work like this:
It will work. If their jungle wants to stop you, you just q them and run back to lane.

W's spit out damage isn't enough to push unless the opposing laner doesn't have any AoE, and that makes at best a 10-15 second window of no minions. B) How are you going to keep the enemy mid from just following you and killing you with or without their jungler? C) How are you going to clear 2 camps without losing an entire minion wave and without being ganked by anyone?
Nebuul1 votesA) regurgitate does huge damage. If you build ap tank mage, you will clear waves very quickly with it. B) like anything, you will need to judge the situation. If you disappear from view while they are clearing, they'll likely ping missing or look for you. Be sneaky about it C) you don't clear the whole camp, just the large mob. At max level, regurgitate takes almost half the mob's life. Then you have smite and, if needed, a couple AA's. Once the creep is dead, you have the movement boost to get to the next camp or to escape
