EDIT: Immediately after the game the ranked queues went down, does this have anything to do with it? EDIT 2: Why does loss forgiveness impact the winning team when they have absolutely no impact on server issues... punishing players for nothing.

Riot should have just disabled ranked and not turned on loss prevention. Most likely the loss prevention has screwed up LP gains/losses more than the "bugged" ranked games that were going on. I haven't even seen any complaints about ranked games being bugged until riot said something, so its not even a common thing.
So in the end, Riot ruined everyones LP gains/losses for an extremely small minority, causing a bigger LP discrepancy than before.
