Improving Yasuo's readability in-regards to Q stacks would go far in reducing player frustration

Hexs Fortune··3 votes·633 views

Creating a very easy to see indicator for Yasuo's stack level would go very far in lowering player frustration against him.

Currently Yasuo's knock up works as following: Q1>four secs> Q2>4 secs>Q3 knock up

Many people are often caught off guard when he already has his first stack, since there is no clear way to see when Yasuo has already built up his first Q.

A yasuo with no stacks is 8 seconds away from being able to knock up. A Yasuo with 1 stack is only 4. It makes a big difference.

Also, In regards to the 2nd and 3rd stack indicatiors:

Players often have to squint to see the thin air effect indicator around him as he dashes about and the little sound queue can easily get lost in the midst of everything else happening. These should be improved for readability as well.

There's a visual and audio queue for the damn thing. What next, a freaking flag above his head?

There is no visual queue for the first stack, and that's where many people get frustrated.

They may see a Yasuo running around with no wind and assume he has no stacks and they have 8 seconds to contest him without fear of knock up.

Then he turns around and Q's once, surprise two stacks and half the anticipated time to react.

It's a clear lack of information that doesn't need to be there and draws inaccurate assumptions which leads to frustrations and ultimately more bans against the champ.

This is a non-issue

If your engaging is a situation where you are going to be unavoidably punished 4 seconds later, your are playing the lane super super wrong.

Woops double post. quick joke. If yasuo blocks rivens ulti with his wind wall, does that mean he broke wind?

How's about 1! 2! 3!
Mordekaiser got the same treatment. Difference is you can actively disengage Morde by walking away that's less of an option with Mr Dash here. Giving Yasou more clarity is a way for Riot to possibly buff him

You all know that all you guys want is for Yasuo to be stripped of basically anything resembling viability. Dude's hardly that good of a pick right now and people still whine 24/7 about him.

Also, why are you comparing a skirmisher to a juggernaut?

Also, again, Morde has 2 visual/audio queues before his third Q is the significantly stronger Q. Yasuo has to Q something 2 times before there's an audio queue and a lingering visual queue for when his 3rd Q has a knock-up tied to it. THEY ARE ALREADY THE EXACT SAME THING.

I'd like to see him In better spot so long as that spot doesn't invalidate 80% of the Midlane roster

I wasn't I was Contrasting. I was Showing how two similar charge up abilities have a drastic Difference in Counterplay. Due to how those champions kits enable that ability.

THEY ARE ALREADY THE EXACT SAME THING.

Mordes 3rd que must be cast within 3 seconds. What's Yasou at 8seconds.

My point was to expand on the OP's original statement by suggesting a Clarity option Riot has used before.

And you guys will continue to say that, regardless of if this is true or not, until Riot butchers his kit completely. He STILL has a higher top lane win rate than mid on League of Graphs for Diamond play. Perhaps mid lane players need to stop giving up and pussying out so hard and learn what they're doing wrong? He's winning more against other melees than he does the mages he's supposed to be tap dancing on.

Yasuo's a skirmisher. He's SUPPOSED to be more mobile. Counter-playing him isn't supposed to be as easy as counter-playing Morde since he dies easier when you land something on him.

Yasuo's is 6, and if that's the only difference, it only proves me right: Both Morde and Yasuo are similar in terms of "warning queues" for the special effects added onto 3rd q's. This is a non-issue.

Morde dies just as fast possibly faster while Cc'd. Since Mordes Defensive steroid has Zero effect while Cc'd. As for adding Counterplay to Yasou, if you ever want to see him viable ever again they will have to add some.

Yasuo's is 6, and if that's the only difference, it only proves me right:

That's all you are concerned about it seems. Not for the health of the Champion or the game. Just that you win the argument. Sad

Both Morde and Yasuo are similar in terms of "warning queues" for the special effects added onto 3rd q's. It's a non issue.

This is the sole issue of our argument. Similar abilities. Similar warning Non-Mobile audio+ visual More Mobile, more Warning.

If the enemy isn't paying attention to Yasuo enough for him to get a Q right under their nose, that's not a clarity issue. That's called lack of awareness.

The voice lines for Q1 cast and Q2 cast are different sets so yes, there is a voice queue

I've never considered it an issue to know where Yas is on his Q stacks.. It's kind of something you naturally should be paying attention to.

BeatzBoyFTW1 votes

I'm very sure this is NOWHERE near the problem of why Yasuo's frustrating to fight against. Everyone already know which stacks Yasuo's Q is at judging by his quote & sound effect.

BerylCrab1 votes

Nah, not for me anyway. I always know its coming, its just that he can dash 12 times and shoot the q from on top of my head, thus making it impossible to dodge or miss, the only "counterplay" to yasuo is to bring more team mates, but even this doesn't work since the enemy team can simply do the same. but in a 5v5 pro level environment where people practice together day in and day out, he can be bursted down quickly so its balanced. lel
