As you see in there, Ryze is getting another full scale rework and visual update.
It's like Riot has no idea how to balance him, and continuously have to rework him like Banana Goat 
At least he'll probably be balanced, right?
MilfHuntUnitXJ91 votesThey knew from the get-go on the last full scale rework and his beginning state that his kit isn't healthy. They want to rework him but keep the general feel and unique playstyle of the old him, just like what they did with Gangplank and Morde etc, plus what they are going to do with the six mages.
They want to remove the broken concepts of their kits but not remove what makes those mages what they are. I believe Ryze will be balanced after they rework him.

1 800 MID LANE1 votesThere is no way that they can balance his current kit. He has everything. Tank, burst, sustained damage, waveclear. The only thing he doesn't have is the ability to smash through turrets, but you can just buy a sorcerer's elixir for that.
