Riot before you nerf Irelia remember why she is being played now

Ranged champions are the main reason why Irelia is being played again after basically being a joke during season 3 and shrugged off most of season 4.

Ever been a darius vs a Nidalee? What about a Garen vs a Lissandra? Renekton against gnar before Gnar nerfs?

Non of those melee have been able to be a competitive choice in top becuase they don't have consistent means to deal with ranged champs.

So before you deiced to nerf Irelia for being picked in the LCS wait and see what happens when Lissandra and Gnar are no longer always being picked or banned.

Irelia should balance out in the long run in a meta that has melee champs and not be such a popular pick once ranged are out of almost always being in top.

Irelia's been a pretty top pick in competitive for a while now. Most of season 4, after they nerfed the defense tree back to Earth.

Actually it was the nidalee changes and nerfs to jax etc that casued the problem to start.
