question about keys

i understand that if you play with premades there is a higher chance to get keys. Anybody has the actual numbers of this???

I'm pretty sure this is false. The only way you can get keys is from either getting an S-, S or an S+ or having a teammate get one. Forgot which one that is.

No, that's boxes. It seems a lot of people confuse how you get boxes and how you get key shards (not full keys). You get boxes when you, or someone in your premade, gets one of the "S" scores. Key shards drop randomly.

i'm pretty sure if you in a group of people there is a higher chance to get keys. However, idk that exact percentage, that's why i'm asking here

Sorry, that was actually supposed to be a reply to Vortomnusrt, but kinda for you too. But I don't think being in a group increases your chances of getting key shards because I play solo a lot (mostly norm) and I get key shards every day.

i'm pretty sure it does increase..wanted to know the percentage:P..if riot released any info regarding this:P.

Also, about boxes, if my premade earns an S, i will get an S, but will the champ i play be marked with a box?? even thow i didn't earn an S with him

Hmm, not sure then. But I do know I get key shards everyday even when playing solo.

I don't think your champ will be marked with an S because technically, you didn't get the S, your teammate did.

i'm saying this bcs, i've a game with a friend, he earned an S that game.i didn't. I was playing darius and the season highest grade for that champ is A+. And it shows that i earned a box with him

That's because you did get a box when playing with that champ. Your friend got an S while you were playing Darius and you got a box from your friend's S. So it will show that you got a box with that champ but it won't show an S on that champ because you didn't get an S, you got an A+. There are many different ways of getting boxes and this is one of them.

Yeah I always get the boxes and keys mixed up.
