I kinda stopped playing this game

GamblerOfLives··13 votes·832 views

I used to be a real competitive player. Planned on getting masters this season. But, since there is no more Solo que- you can't really make a difference between players skill- I kinda stopped playing the game:|.. Used to play only ranked- it was the most fun mode for me. Now, sadly, it's not fun. I'm not here to say that dynamiq que sucks, idc if i play with premades or against premades. But, since i can't trully compare myself with other players. Well, there is no point to get higher now. Today, i played 2 ranked games bcs i didn't wanted to decay:|. There is no point right now in playing ranked:|.

And normal games are ok, when i play with some friends. But, i'm not really a normal game type of guy- i can't take this type of games serious:)..i like to do my best in games, play my best champs to try to win and in normals - i don;t get that.

Also, you nerfed/reworked most of my main champs- which sucks so hard:|

Idk, but i play less ranked game since you removed solo que..maybe it's a good thing for me:P..But, i am honestly thinking of dropping the game bcs of this. I already kind of droped ranked.

hope you guys bring back solo que, so we can have a true gaming experince. Maybe it's just me thinking this way. Oh well. Gl;)

Yeah..I have no ideea why they decided to remove solo que:|. It worked for 5 years pretty great- why destroy something that worked like this? I don;t get it:|. Game feels ruined for the solo players

I just started playing normals but I know that means I will quit the game soon.

The thing about ranked is I enjoyed trying to get better as a player and climb.

When I get into the lobby now, I just wonder who on my team is gonna feed and how many on the other team are premades.

exactly dude:))..i started playing normals which means i will probably quit soon:|..I never wonder if the enemy has premades or my team has premades..they always do, in everygame..I just ask myself..how big the party is:))

And, yes..the whole ideea of ranked was to climb solo- getting better at the game was the way to go- Now, you can;t do this- there is basicly no ladder for solo players.

I also hate the fact that riot promotes premades and fcks over the solo players:|..Hextech stuff, premade party ip bonus. etc

Maybe next season they will bring out solo que:|

Solo Q is unbelievably stupid. Play as 1 player with 4 strangers on your team (any one of them could be a Troll, AFK, or outright incompetent) or play as 2 players and take a big fat match-making penalty.

Some of you may be able to climb under those conditions from elo to elo in a reasonable amount of time but for the rest of us mortals, its going to take dozens and dozens and dozens of games to make the slightest amount of climbing. There's just way too much randomness and too much frustration with a massive number of games being decided by which team had the harder Feeders and bigger trolls.

It also never made sense to me that highly mechanically skilled players (who know how to CS above average for their elo, generally won lane and had great KDAs with decent map and objective awareness) could be stuck in the same place, bouncing a few levels up and then back down and then back up for MONTHS... just because they can't ''Carry.''

Why should people be expected to Carry 4 strangers consistently to climb out of a given elo. Its ridiculous.

Basically, Dynamic Q in ranked is way more fair. Get a few of your friends of similar skill, train together, and climb together and be rewarded for good teamwork, communication, and champion synergy/playstyle awareness.

Its how they fight in the LCS anyways. Its more realistic. You're supposed to fight and train as a team. It shouldn't be about who can ''Carry'' 4 strangers (some of whom will be trolling at random intervals). It should be about who is the best team player and who has the best team.

Solo Q climbing was one of two things:

  1. You were some kind of a Diamond boy who devoted his life to the game... you create an account and climb in a reasonable amount of time

OR

  1. (for the vast majority of people), you sit down and play a ridiculous amount of Ranked games because of the huge variance (most of us only have 45-55 win rate on any given day) and don't climb in ANY reasonable amount of time... you could play for months and sit in the same elo not because you suck (you're actually VERY mechanically good for your elo and are a great team player)... you can't climb just because you're a Mortal and you aren't some kind of person who can consistently Carry 4 random strangers. And so the probability says you either play hundreds of games to make the slightest amount of climbing or you sit here swinging like a pendulum.

Solo Q is a stupid design and places ridiculous expectations on those who want to climb

I agree with you. I agree that there is a difference between solo que and dynamic que:).100%.And, the questions for you is this. Do you think that it's ok, to have the same ladder for all the players? They removed the way you could compare to other players- this doesn';t exists anymore.

Besides, implementing dynamic que, when we already had duo que and 5 vs 5 team ranked- it's stupid. They did this just to have 3 and 4 man premades. And 4 man premades it's hell for the solo players-nobody enjoys this.

Also, solo que climbing was about the individual - what i loved about this game.. Dynamic que- it's all about teams-premades.

And, the fact that Riot supports premades more than solo players- it's disgusting. Specially when they reward them with hextech stuff more than the solo player:|..

PS. Dean will be dissapointed of you

Well Riot decided that they were going to make Ranked be solely about who was the better ''team player'' and wants to incentivise climbing ''as a team'' as opposed to just being a lone wolf.

The thing is... while SOME people enjoyed climbing as a lone wolf, I did not enjoy it at all. I thought it was extremely silly that people who were SUBSTANTIALLY more mechanically skilled than most of the people at the elo they were stuck at in terms of CS and KD but who were NOT skilled enough to Carry a random group of 4 people on a consistent enough basis... could be stuck at the same elo for MONTHS.

There was simply too much emphasis on forcing you to ''Carry'' 4 random strangers in the previous system to get anywhere higher unless you were prepared to play for months and months and months. It just wasn't very feasible or very encouraging for a lot of people to TOUCH ranked at all. I mean at some point you feel like you don't control much.

Unless you're Diamond material, your win rate from where you start (based on placements) is probably going to be 44-66% on any given day and with those kinds of marginal odds above or below 50% you can be playing for months while not really moving up or down (even though really, mechanically your playing is actually very strong CS-wise, KD-wise, and teamwork wise... you're just not good enough to Carry on a consistent enough basis).

Why should be people be expected to Carry to climb in a reasonable timeline?

Dynamic Q simply makes the most sense. If you REALLY want to challenge yourself and play as a Soloist you can do so, in fact... since tons of other people are going to use Pre-Mades, there's an increased probability you could have some of those guys on your team, thus it benefits you too because your team has some coordination (as opposed to playing with 4 strangers who don't know each other).

But most people would rather go in with SOME guarantee of reliability from team mates and going in with people you know and train with and regularly play with is a good thing.

Just not a big fan of the previous Ranked where I played as 1 person and was completely at the mercy of who I was paired with in terms of the other 4. I'd pretty consistently fight above average in terms of the raw numbers (kills and farms) but it didn't matter because all my wins would get reversed with all the variance in who I was assigned with... it just swings back and forth like a pendulum, sometimes in one direction for days only to swing back. It was stupid as hell.

It honestly didn't matter what I did because there was simply too much Dice and I wasn't Carry material despite an overall mechanical superiority.

TLDR:

It doesn't make sense that you have to be so good that you can Carry 4 random strangers more often than not to climb out of an elo AT A REASONABLE TIME. It doesn't make sense that you can be mechanically above average at your elo (in terms of CS and kills) and still be swinging like a pendulum for MONTHS just because of the variance of which other 4 strangers you get thrown with (a fair number are AFKs, incompetent, or trolling).

It makes more sense that you can climb by being mechanically skilled and by forming a team of like-minded people who you work well with. (and in such a situation, there's nothing preventing you from climbing Solo if you were already the type of person who could Carry strangers, but it shouldn't be the only way to go); there shouldn't be an expectation that you have to Carry to climb.

Man, you said the same thing 10 times over:)). From what i've read you like dynamic que and you think it's better:)...The thing is this- this are different games- solo and dynamic...And we have the same ladder for 2 different ques.:)Which means, that we can't trully compare, we don't even know our own elo bcs of this:) ..you understand my point?

Also, when it comes to the game..you can "carry" all the way to diamond based just on game knowledge. And, it's not about winning or losing games:)..it's about getting better at the game:) regardless if it's solo or dynamic. The reason why it takes alot of time to climb,it's bcs of you, not bcs you need to carry them or w/e. the moment you improve, that's the moment when you will get to your elo:)

Why should people be expected to Carry 4 strangers consistently to climb out of a given elo. Its ridiculous.

When I'm stuck in a 4 man premade I have less chance to carry then when it was solo q. Literally, my presence there means almost nothing. It all boils down to who has a better team coordination for diving or knowing when to give a lane.

In a 5x5 yes. Ina 4/1, 3/2, 3/1/1/1 team, no. It isn't a LCS experience if someone is sitting out there in the dark, with no voice chat or pings. There wasn't a LCS match were TSM was carried by a random guy in their 4 premade.

Sooo, let's debunk it =T. My acc has 1879 hours of playing. http://wasted-on-lol.com/stats/br/cenobite/ Yours has1640 hours of playing. http://wasted-on-lol.com/stats/na/winchester4749/

I started playing in season 3. You started playing in season 5.

In ONE year, you almost reached my 3 years wasted on this game. I'm gold V this season. Was plat III before dynamic queue. By your standards you should be a diamond no life.

Then stop playing, been playing this game for 6-7 years it's nothing new. You play while you like it take a break when you don't it's been this way from the start don't know why everyone and they momma acting like it's the end of the world cause you can't play the game.

I've even taken a break for months before I came back a few years back. But came back cause they changed something the way I liked and started getting back into the game. That's all you gotta do when playing league.

I'm not saying don't make suggestions while you're on break but don't have to act like it's a big deal that you've stopped.
