How do you beat Rengar top?

Not flaming, just an honest question because whenever I play against one I always get stomped no matter how defensive I play or build.

It seems like you can't really deny him from farm and can't even think about poking him since he just infinitely leaps to the minions and can't really play passive because he continually leaps to you while running back to brush to do it again and eventually hit 5 Fury to just destroy you.

Any tips? thanks

You need to stay away from the bushes and sit in your minion wave. Also bring ignite. When he walks into the bush you should move. He will eventually go back to farming. Let the wave push up and wait for your jungler or go in on him if you can. Also if you can't get away in time stay in your minion wave. when he jumps on you they will auto target him. If you have the bush warded prior to this the minions will follow him to the bush. That means free damage. Eventually he will get low enough for you to engage on him. When he gets to his 3/4th fury stack and you have him low enough drop ignite so he won't get the full heal from his w. He will either be forced to retreat or die trying to fight you. There are other factors involved here of course. You need to make sure when he comes in to always make sure you can get some damage off before he gets back to the bush. Just don't get greedy.

I play zac top lane so he's generally not an issue for me anyways. Not that I'm saying pick up Zac but hard cc champions work really well against him. :P

I'm a lot better at theorycraft than actual gameplay atm. xD

You can CS pretty well, depending from which champion you are using.

Generally I counterpick Rengar with Vlad. Vlad is ranged so I can CS with him with more ease. Everytime Rengar tries to last hit from the bushes, I Q him. If he tries to all-in, I pool.

trade with him when he has low ferocity or right when he jumps on a CS. He is all about the burst and has pretty shitty sustained damage apart from when his ult is rolling.
