The efficiency of Meditation

In light of the upcoming Mana item changes, let's have a look at how efficient the Meditation mastery is for actual mana sustain.

For this comparison, I will use Anivia as a typical mana-stacking mage and Ziggs as a typical regen-based mage in the current itemization system.

Lvl18 Anivia has 1246 mana and 19.6 Mp5. Ziggs has 1183 mana and also 19.6 Mp5. 5 points in the Meditation mastery regenerates 1.5% of your missing mana every 5 seconds.

For Meditation to regenerate as much mana as their base regen, both mages would need to have 1306.67 missing mana, which is slightly more than their basic mana pool. Morellonomicon on live gives 100% base mana regen, which means that the mastery will give that much regeneration at these mana values.

With the changed items, it is very possible for most mages to attain mana values of 2k or greater, leaving you with a comfortable level of remaining mana when getting your base mana regen in value from Meditation.
