Balance issues again -- placement games

I'm tired of having to post like this every 2 weeks to get 1 week worth of actually balanced ranked matches. Please Rito fix your shit. I shouldn't have 4 boosted people on my team 3 straight placement matches. I'm not talking going 0/2/0 in lane. I'm talking I beat up on my lane opponent, I escape ganks and play safe and ping for ganks only to have the enemy jungler tower dive me because he sat in bush in lane for a minute straight while I waited patiently OUT OF VISION at my tower. I'm talking tying for fewest deaths on my team in that game despite being 1v2 dove and 1v3 dove all laning despite playing as safely as is literally possible besides hiding on my damn nexus. When my "smurf" mid feeds enemy lux, my bot lane has double digit combined deaths and only 3 kills on support to show for it while my jungler is too slow to react and do anything but feed diving 1v2 when he could have helped me win 2v2 if he came just 5 sec earlier. How is this any reflection of my skills? Do you just enjoy placing people like me in bronze and making us have to 1v5 carry our way to gold every season because we are stuck with people who have 0 intelligence and/or put 0 effort into game while we are playing as good as or better than every single person on the enemy team? Or take the game before that, when my top feeds garen despite jungle camping for her. My mid just salts on everyone else when he's just as bad, doesn't mia during laning, and flashes for no reason every time it's up. Then jungle gives up halfway through game and sits in base when he's not dc'd. While my adc catches every thresh hook despite being on cait and me trying to block half of them -- she's that good at making sure they hit her. Yes, I clearly deserved to lose as the leona support there because I can't 2v3 protect a suicidal adc or snowball all the other feeding lanes and the afk jungler. Or the game before that -- where jungle (who was ok except dives without thinking all the time) and I practically carry team to a comeback with 3 highly boosted teammates who make it their mission to ruin any chance we have of winning. With our entire team 2 to 3 levels down, I carry multiple fights. Even finding myself 1v2 after burning my ult and flash while peeling for suicidal teammates as best I can, I manage to kill their fed adc and chase off their fed support through exhaust while I'm starting 2/5 hp and they're both full hp. I let support live so I can save 2nd inhib tower from my lane opponent -- soloing him and saving the inhib. Despite carrying team multiple fights, and communicating nicely (for the first 5 times team makes the same mistake) I lose. Because team is still making same "mistakes" that BASIC INTELLIGENCE would prevent from someone of my rank. Really, when I can 1v2 delete their adc through great peeling from thresh when they are both full hp and i'm less that half plus down in levels thanks to trying to save boosted teammates I think punishing me with auto loss (thanks to team you put me with) is not doing justice to me. I think if I have the intelligence to not chase their low hp support to maybe get the kill and instead back off to save my inhib tower AND kill my lane opponent (right after winning the 1v2 vs enemy adc and support despite not having flash or ult and them having all sums & spells) my teammates should have the intelligence to not frontline flash ult engage as varus adc or stand there tanking free damage until you die as annie without fighting back or walking away. But maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I deserve that because after politely communicating what to do and what NOT to do to team 6 times and being ignored every time I got very salty. After the 10th time of them making the same "mistakes" I got downright report chat restriction (if you repeat this behavior) warning salty. Does this mean I deserve these teammates? I'm trying hard to be less toxic/more forgiving, but I feel there has to be a limit where choosing to continue doing the stupid plays or sitting afk walking between your inhib towers instead of trying to help team deserves some form of less polite response. When I started playing this game seasons ago, I sucked a lot. I fed hard when I first started ranked. And when I made the same mistake repeatedly, my teammates pointed it out much as I try to -- politely at first, harsher if people don't get the message the first 5 times. And you know what, I started listening to my more experienced teammates and got pretty good for my rank by the end of my first ranked season. I started carrying games -- even from the support role with only 1 other teammate who could say they were on the same level as or better than all our opponents. But you know what happens now when a player messes up and you try to communicate nicely to help team do better? You get flamed. You get made fun of, threatened with being reported, etc. Since when did it become ok for teammates to flame you for asking them to use their FREE trinket wards so your team has vision from someone besides you as the top or jungle or support? Since when did asking team NOT to force engages 3v5 vs people they fed all laning phase while YOU were being camped by the enemy jungle (and your pings for help went ignored) become unreasonable? And since when did Riot decide it is reasonable, healthy, and fair to put people with such teammates for the MAJORITY of their games IN RANKED?

Funny how I write a post like this and FINALLY tend to get MOSTLY balanced matches (not always winning, but actually having a chance to do more than be 1v2 and trying to carry feeding team every game) for a week or so afterwards. Funny how I post something like this pre-season and the VERY NEXT DAY you admit matchmaking was doing a horrible job for flex queue and make adjustments. Funny how I have to keep doing this crap just to get a reasonable game more than 1 in 10 times. Would it really be so hard to just give reasonable matches without me having to make posts like this every few weeks?

Sincerely, the guy you're probably going to tell to repost this in another subsection of boards because...

Do Not Play Support If You Want To Win Games :D You Have To 1v9. I used to play support, the role is fun but I like to win more than play a fun role. I was silver for two seasons because I was okay with having to support. However when I lost all hope in teams I rose to Gold by simply not playing support and trying to carry everyone of my games 1v9. If you really want to climb as support at least find yourself a duo partner do not play as support in solo queue if you want to win. These are just my tips for you take them however you want.

Appreciate that sir/mam. I actually swapped from support main to top main last season for the very reasons you state. I have found the same exact thing can happen in pretty much any role. The percent of players in each category differs, but after 3+ ranked seasons, I can tell you that each rank has multiple types of people.

Common types of players in bronze - gold:

feeder/boosted -- from their DECISION MAKING SKILLS and/or mechanics it is obvious they never earned their way to their current rank; they automatically drastically decrease their team's chances to win; bonus: many claim they're rainbow 1 smurfs and they can't carry the heavy team they are put on as they feed harder 1v1 than rest of team does 1v2 or 2v3

tilted -- mechanics and decision making may be suffering, but teammates can positively communicate with player and get them back to acceptable levels by giving them some help; if ignored/harassed they will probably not improve during that game; you CAN tell a difference though between this and feeder/boosted if you pay close attention

troll -- intentionally ruin game for your team through obviously poor decision making; can be difficult to distinguish between troll and feeder/boosted in some cases unless match history is checked

average -- a player that is at the rank they actually belong; a rare breed to find

suppressed -- a player who deserves a better ranking but is constantly held back by other types of people from this list or ones not included on the list; may become tilted due to having to 1v5 carry a feeding team while getting all their jungle stolen (by enemy and "teammates" if a jungler) or being camped by enemy jungler all laning phase (because enemy realizes quickly they are the ONLY threat and hope for their team) while their jungler camps for a feeding lane or afk farms

I am merely frustrated because every season I end up in the suppressed category for most of the year. I hit gold end of last season and was actually starting to be challenged 1v1 rather than being challenged (or not even challenged) by enemy jungler literally sitting in my lane whenever he wasn't farming top jungle camps for 11+ min straight at start of every game. I can't grow much as a player if I am not given opponents of a proper caliber and teammates of similar caliber. I just end up winning/going even 1v2 only to lose the game no matter what approach I take. I can't try to 3 or 4 man fast push bot like they are 2v1'ing me top because teammates don't listen and will rotate top and feed there -- leaving me 1v2 vs their fed support and bot enemy duo. I can't tp bot because there are 0 wards much less wards in proper locations to be effective for my tp. I can't gank mid because I will get counter-ganked and lose. I can't get teammates to play smarter or ward because then I just get flamed for literally ANYTHING I type. That last part really makes me sad because when I started and I was the feeding noob, people like me actually listened to better/more experienced players and improved. Now everyone takes even the nicest/simplest comments the wrong way and just flames/salts you and threatens to report you for saying anything to them. And when your prediction turns correct, they don't apologize or adjust their play at all. It happens no matter what role you play, and I am fed up of dealing with 1.5 years straight of this. And I'm literally not joking when I say that making a post like this improves my match making balance for a short time before it goes back to the usual atrocious imbalance. I'm not asking for all winning lanes or that my opponents be on the team with all the trolls/boosted feeders -- that's no fun either. I only ask that I get a proper challenge from my lane opponent while being given a team that plays smart enough to allow me to have an impact on whether we lose or win the game. I don't think/claim I should be platinum/diamond/challenger, but I should be in a rank that let's me improve my skills individually AND as part of a team with teammates and opponents of my caliber. Facing opponents of my caliber or slightly lower (ex: silver 3 vs gold 5) caliber while being given 3-4 highly boosted teammates does not help me improve. You might as well put me vs a bronze 5 lane opponent and 4 lcs pro players and let me lose that way. So the point is that I see they can do an improved job of matchmaking (as I said it generally improves for a handful of matches after a post like this before going back to being crappy); so why don't they just do that better job all the time to begin with? I know it is not just me having games like this - others have games like this too. The frequency with which they occur though is inexcusable. I watch master and challenger level streamers have 1 game like what I face game after game and they talk/rage (depends on who it is) as if it is incomprehensible people can be so boosted or troll at their rank. I remember reading a post last month about a diamond or plat player who said they smurf in silver and admitted they were embarrassed that they couldn't carry the game unless they snowballed hard in laning. They confirmed that other plats/diamonds they talked to had similar stories. So if people who are undeniably playing far below their rank cannot solo carry a match if they are not allowed to snowball their lane HARD, how is someone of a lower rank (gold 5 for instance) expected to solo carry when they are put with 3-4 feeding teammates and camped all laning (to deny them snowballing)? Doesn't seem fair right? Especially when you consider that they could be playing against that diamond/plat smurf who may or may not be try-harding this particular match. And this is why things like KDA and wins/losses shouldn't matter nearly as much for determining a player's rank while MECHANICS and DECISION-MAKING/SHOT CALLING skills should. Did you feed 1v2 or 2v3 or 2v4 or 1v3? Ok, that shows you have room to improve, but there is a difference between feeding like that while doing your best to play safe, communicating with teammates to gank and WHEN to gank so you can punish the enemy for camping vs running blindly into lane and ignoring the fact that you are being camped and trying to force fights away from safety of your tower. Hopefully that example illustrates how you can begin to distinguish where mechanics and decision-making show one of these two people is better despite both of them maybe having the same kda. The one gave their team a chance to punish the enemy team's camp and snowball off it; the other just fed. So while kda and wins/losses says the 2 players are equal, a closer examination shows the one player to be superior to the other. And they say low rank players have no concept of the game lol.

sounds about right (and yes I read all of it xD)
