Why does everything get blown up so easily now?
I've been playing some ranked to test the waters and one thing stuck out to me: how fast everything blows up now and how fast games are. In season 5, the typical late game tank gets blown up in 5-6 seconds of being focused. Quite fair. In this season, it seems like everyone gets blown up in 2-3 seconds max. And if you die even once, gg to that lane's towers since they get blown up just as easily as champions.
I have mixed feelings about this. In my opinion it makes everything alot more luck based since a single won teamfight can mean gg.
In season 5, I liked the game pace: 25-45 minutes, which allows for a huge variance in power curves of different champions. If you could gg it in 25 minutes with Ashe or Pantheon, you were good. Likewise, if you held on for 45 minutes with Vayne, good for you. Now it seems all my games are ending pre-30, with many being decided by the first 10 minutes or even by first blood.
Season 5 had alot of surprising comebacks. I don't think we'll be seeing more of those in season 6. Expect stompfests.
That might be what some low elos who think they're better than they are think they want, but they should remember this: the #1 beneficiaries of this change to a super fast paced game are gonna be plat/diamond smurfs and plats/diamonds climbing back to their real elo.
