Fiora tips

can someone give advice on how to beat fiora? She seems to snowball really badly at a certain point and its hard to control her when she gets a few kills. Unlike riven she isn't really too team dependent. Also her ults kinda broken. It has a high base dmg and snowballs her lane. IMO i think shes kind of on the OP side, shes literally hits R to win. I don't really know how other people feel about this but i've been seeing a lot of fiora's lately. Honestly i think her main problem is that fact taht she goes immune to being targetted and you cant really counter that. Also why does when she get tiamat she has spread damage on 1 target? Isn't it supposed to do aoe dmg from the dmg done? I'd like to think what other people think and don't give me that "cc"bs cause thats not an obvious answer.

Gank her pre-6 she has no escape, and if she gets behind she can't really catch up. In team fights spread out so she can't cleave as well with her ult. You could also run exhaust and try to predict her ult (shouldn't be too hard, she uses it early or she dies).

Play a tanky DPS champion.

Fiora is speedy enough offensivly to give champions reliant on range or CC significant problems in lane. Her speed doesn't help her against opponents that are really durable, especially if they can beat her in a 1v1.

Also, Fiora is fairly unique compared to other melee champions in that she's really easy to counter-build. Her damage is all physical auto-attacks, which get hit with a double-whammy by things like Ninja Tabi and Warden's Mail. And obviously Thornmail, Frozen Heart, and Randuin's Omen - which again makes tanky DPS champions pretty solid against her.

Outside of picks, don't duel Fiora.

Fiora is pretty solid in a flat out duel - but that's all she's good at in the lanning phase. She has no poke, laughable sustain, no wave clear, no backwards mobility.

She can't push lane and roam like Katarina. She can't wear her opponent down before going in with poke like Zed. She can't easily evade poke like Yasou. She can't completly ignore harass like Cho'Gath. She can't keep jumping in and out of fights like Riven. She also doesn't have any CC to help lock-down an opponent when a jungler comes to gank, and she has nothing useful whatsoever at escaping a hostile jungle gank. She's a lot like Mordekaiser where it's I sure hope I can win a 1v2 in that scenario.

But anyways - Fiora goes ham and kills her lanning opponent, or she looses lane. 1v1 me brah is her pretty much her only lanning strategy.

She's an assassin. Assassins tend to do that.

Also her ults kinda broken. It has a high base dmg and snowballs her lane. IMO i think shes kind of on the OP side, shes literally hits R to win.

The rest of her kit is awful though, and kits tend to be balanced as a whole. Fiora's passive is arguably the weakest in the game (depending on how you interpret Renekton's), and Riposte is one of the worst QWE skills in the game. Can't even block on-hit effects for the 1 auto-attack it's used against.

You also get to lead Fiora around with her ultimate, and if you decided to play a champion Fiora does do pretty well against like Lulu or ~Ryze, you can Zhonya's to evade her entire ult.

Fizz, Elise, Vladimir, and Master Yi do the untargetability thing considerably more frequently, and Fiora's untargetability is competing with things like Jax's counterstrike, Wukong's Decoy, Tryndamere's Endless Rage, Kayle's Invulnerability, and Poppy's invulnerability and immunity to CC for that archetype. It's also her freaking ultimate and tied to a fairly long CD and large mana cost. Unlike most of those champions.

Main thing Fiora has going for her is she actually counters a lot of the ranged poke champions going top lane at the moment (2 dashes), and for a hyper-carry champion her early game is near Yasou-level strong against the right matchups.

Go up against a champion like Ryze that's reliant on poking things to death with short-range and countering their mobility with a single, short CC skill and you can circumvent his poke strats pretty hard with an all-in he can't deal with.

Also why does when she get tiamat she has spread damage on 1 target?

Blade Waltz is considered an auto-attack for the purposes of things like Tiamat and Thornmail.

Tiamat/Hydra have arguably the strongest on-hit effect in the game.

Active is also essentially a controllable Lich-Bane proc, which is nifty for doing the assassin thing. Not to mention Fiora's wave clear is garbage and she's heavily farm-reliant.

Play sluggers(Darius, Renekton, Trundle, etc.) These champions have a great damage to tankyness ratio, they will be able to 1v1 pretty much anyone else if the fight lasts long enough. A Fiora simply won't be able to burst them down before they get their damage going and either force her to run away or outright kill her. Make sure you're not too agressive before you have a few tanky items, unless you have ignite. Most Fioras will opt to take ignite over teleport, so staying passive and using tp to gain a gold and xp lead will give you enough of an advantage to out duel her.
