Punish People for Spite Reports
This happens to me A LOT even though I haven't gotten a punishment myself yet. For instance, the last game, I didn't ult. to try a Dragon steal since I had no smite. The Vi support types the typical "..." as if I'm the biggest idiot in the world. I respond "Stop acting like you know better. I had no smite." Later in the game, this player harasses me a lot "u r bad" etc. I respond that he's in the same skill range if matched with me (he was even a Division under) and add "stop being so toxic". Then he types to report me for unskilled, refusing to communicate, and harassment. This is literally all that I said to this player and I also didn't talk down to any other teammates. I was even quite communicative, offered blues etc.
Anyway, the Vi makes the same proclamation about the need to report me after the game ends. I get A LOT of spite reports from incredibly toxic players and I think most of it is because I call them out on being toxic and force them to see reality as it is. For example, if some Gold 5 tells me how terrible I am as Gold 2, I'll inform them that they are not better by any objective metric. I don't harass them or anything of the sort, but I do not accept their BS at face value and I think it infuriates them because deep down, they know it's true. Also, the fact that I label them "toxic" makes it clear that they're getting reported and they want revenge.
The problem is that all these players have a voice too and constantly call for reports on me when I simply state facts or defend myself (rationally, not with insults). I think they should get punished for it beyond just lowering the report power. I'm not even sure how report power works without the Tribunal though and I'd hate to get a chat restriction due to false reports from angry flamers. If it's automatic and I ask for support chat logs to prove it, maybe they can find 1/100 games where I was actually toxic and use that as justification. Everyone is toxic once in a blue moon though so just finding a random game from hundreds should mean nothing. Unfortunately, if all these spite reports are accounted for, it may not matter and that one exception can be used as evidence. This would be rather unfair if it happens at some point in the future. Basically, I'm guessing that if I'm toxic in 1/100 games but get 20 false spite reports, I can still get chat restricted etc. However, if I didn't get spite reports, that 1/100 would never lead to any punishment.
