why can't tanks have a grievous wound item?

topic. I feel very limited going bruiser or tank because of this.

Because that would make tanks the meta buyers for GW.

''Just let the tank buy GW so the ADC doesn't have to give up any damage''

That's exactly what would happen.

Can confirm, it's already frustrating enough having to rush an Executioner's Calling on Jarvan, Camille, Darius, etc. against a team of Vladimir, Maokai, Soraka, and Sona while you watch the ADC rush full Crit and a BT for "sustain" since nobody on the enemy team dies while you're struggling for base stats at that point.

Good answer, didn't actually think of this. My mind is blocked from having to tell said ADC's to buy the gw. I rest my case, that would be a tough pickle to beat if it was to happen hmmm

Because tanks shouldn't do damage.

wtf? who said anything about dmg, i'm talking about applying a counter measure.

Uh....item 3123 gives 15 attack. and the status itself just reduces HP regen

You "feel" limited? How so? Looking at your match history, you actually have more wins when you play a top lane tank/bruiser than any other role.

i mostly enjoy playing support, it is quite annoying having to spend the entire game telling the adc to get an excetuioner's vs a healing team. It is limiting if i'm using let's say alistar or leona.

because you probably think it should be on thornmail

i didn't even mention thornmail... what's wrong with you people....

why should a tank be able to counter sustain when they're supposed to lose to it?

tanks are already the biggest stat checks, do they really need this too

Grievous wounds is GENERALLY used against drain tanks(Or Soraka). Tanks having an item that is built to be used against them is kinda weird. Not to mention in top lane if for example you were Poppy vs Mundo, you'd only need that item to completely counter him pretty much. Mundo does some decent damage to carry top laners though, so they actually need the executioner's calling to be on equal footing(Or you can do what I do and cheese it by starting null magic mantle and tanking the damage while killing him early to get snowballed enough to where his healing doesn't matter, but that's against my point).
