Can I use 3 champion shards to reroll Aurellion Sol when he comes out?

Seeing as how I have all the champs already, are new champions on their release day placed in the hextech system as well?

I expect it'll be possible, although I'm pretty sure rerolling just gives a random permanent (as opposed to a permanent champ you don't own), so you'd only have less than a 1% chance of getting him.

I see.

It says that th reroll would be a random Champion permanent, which would mean it would have to be a champion you don't yet own.

Rerolling skins states it will be a random skin permanent. Sooo yeah.

Yeah digging around a bit I see things that imply it's not a 'duplicate', which I can't tell if it refers to everything you own (i.e. all your champs), or a duplicate out of the shards you used to reroll, or out of things in your hextech inventory. I'm pretty sure it's the last option, but not 100%

As far as I can tell, those who already own all champs currently can still reroll 3 champ shards to get a random champion permanent though, they presumably just can't redeem it. (Which I assume is the same with skin shards and other cosmetics if you already own the content.)
