How do I stop this bullshit? Almost every time the enemy has a Yi he rampages, bursting people down like they never existed.

gotta CC him. Understandably alpha strike makes that easier said than done, but if you do land CC on him you can usually kill his ass.

Any type of hard CC. Junglers like WW and Vi or Lee Sin basically make him useless when he tries to engage on your team

Play Lissandra, Udyr, Malzahar, Ryze, or other champions with point and click CC. In the late game stick with your teammates and CC him as soon as he tries to dive onto anybody.

I hate Yi too he's a sack of shit, but you can absolutely ruin his day right back if you employ these strategies.

Red smite might a problem. You calculate his damage, you have every number and %ratio on him and your champ, you have their current stats, but it means almot nothing, since he gets almost free 20% damage reduction. This can lead to miscalculations, causing you to lose trades. Of course, I take red smite on everyone since I don't want to get 1 shot.
