Malzahar Ult Change

So, I was reading Surr@20 this morning and came across this little change:

"Nether Grasp (R) "Beam is no longer broken/cancelled if the suppression is cleansed but will be broken/cancelled if target is more than 1250 units away from Malzahar."

Now I know this means either Cleanse or QSS/Merc will not break the suppression, but does this mean the target can still try to escape by running away mid ult? Or does it mean he has a bit less counterplay but CCing malz still breaks the tether if he surpasses 1250 units in distance?

I'm really not sure tbh.

It means the damage will continue through a QSS (or any other effect that can remove suppressions), up to a range of 1250.

So its like a yasuo ult now. I hope that isnt a foreshadow buff for more severe nerfs...
