Why cant Gnar ward hop?

I only say this due to the fact that he can hop on allied champions, enemies, and minions. Kat and jax (lee sin as well) have ablities that do the same but with the inclusion of wards...? I demand an answer riot. It would definitely add to his potential and would probably make him an even more fun champion. At least in my opinion, I enjoy ward hopping as Lee and kat even if I'm not very good at it.
