Trinity force is now a must-buy on core black cleaver-wielders like Garen and Darius
Perhaps it's time to hit it with the nerf bat? I would say "buff the alternatives" but i dont think anybody wants to see Black Cleaver or Titanic hydra buffed.

I was going to comment exactly what you just said, a lot more people are playing squishy champs so there isn't a need for % shred. Trinity offers more upfront damage.
If tanks make more of a reappearance we'll probably see more garen and Darius take cleaver more often.

it feels like your only option to deal with a lot of squishier carries like marksmen or skirmishers is to burst them with a triforce q, ignite and ult, or not be able to fight them at all because they would just kill you while sitting in your spin, or you get kited.
maybe this is the goddamn problem. riot needs to make garen better at taking prolonged fights.

redniwediS1 votesBlack Cleaver has felt like a money pit to me for quite some time now. I'll sit on Phage for a long while, and when I'm mostly full build I'll upgrade it to BC if I need the shred and Trinity if I don't.
Maybe Trinity needs a hit, not really sure, but BC could also use a bit of love.
