who. I've played league for over a year now. I never beat rumble in lane. i mean fuck i can't even cs.

i hope i don't get one of those " ugh you don't get to beat jayce in lane early game unless you play like a bitch and hope he makes mistakes" kind of comments because its ridiculous to give a champion a free laning phase win. and its ridiculous to depend on the enemy to make mistakes

yea but when it comes to team comp and team fights Rumble out classes most top laners and Quinn for that matter. let alone Rumble is an aoe ap mage who dont give two shits about a blind from Quinn

Playing "like a bitch" is often the right move, it's ridiculous how people always want to fight.

One of the key skills to develop in LoL is being able to evaluate a situation and predict as accurately as possible what will happen, who will win, and then, not fighting at all if you're not the one who's going to win. You are not supposed in this game to be able to win every single fight provided you don't make mistakes and you're mechanically skilled enough. Being mechanically skilled is supposed to give you an edge, not to completely turn over a situation. And you're supposed to only fight when you're sure to win.

So I don't know sh*t about Rumble, but I'm triggered by a title+post like that. If you ever refuse to play "like a bitch", maybe you'll pick the right champion to beat Rumble in lane, but instead you'll probably throw the game by forcing a team-fight when the team actually needs to defend and farm.

yes Rumble is a lane bully but he also scales well into the game and his aoe damage and ult makes him a great team fight champ that can do alot of damage and provides that from ap top which is hard to find.

Farm from range, poke from time to time. You don't HAVE to win lane in top every game to win. Sometimes the correct choice is picking someone who can just farm.

Pantheon to beat him in lane but he still outscales the living hell out of you. Not really worth it. Win lane, lose game.

Kennen is a good choice. Wins lane and is still relevant for mid/late game

EDIT: Also MonkeyKing beats him in lane and scales well. Just build a item 3155 first.

I have beaten a lot of Rumbles playing Singed, just sidestep his rockets and fling him to your minions Always observe his red bar also

Also most Rumbles are dumbassses, they don't even know how to aim their Ult

He has a lot of early game power. Poke him but never hard engage. Make him chose defensive items early, reducing is mid game power.

Renekton, Darius, Kayle, Xin Zhao, a well played Riven. Thinking about the match up, I could see the new Yorik fairing well against him. Not sure yet though because I haven't PLAYED the match up yet.

In low elo darius and garen stomp him. Garen's early game silence is a really bad day while rumble will never be able to take on darius head on (easy to zone him and force ganks pre 6) Galio is extremely strong against rumble (his shield practically negates his flame spitter)

Swain and gnar are strong ranged picks as rumble doesn't have an answer to swains ult (crap grievous wounds item) and gnar's lane phase, split push and team fight is just as good, if not better than rumbles.

You see this leads to off meta picks like a tristana top or a lissandra top maybe. But in all honesty, just go in, his dmg is AoE. If you have a bursty pick for top, you can easily out dmg him in a trade off.

I'm always shocked by how tanky he is. When I go top I have a much easier time killing actual tanks.
