Hi, i always run this game uncapped at like 100+ fps, never have any troubles other than when Riot decides to do a garbage update/patch that everything gets fucked. So congrats Riot i lost my promos because i hoped in to a game i had 6 fps, i couldn't even play no matter how low i left the graphics.....So i get reported by 9 people potentially, lose LP and my promos because of the update and wasted my time + the potential ban i might get now for DCing, sorry i'm not staying in a game where i literally have 4-6 fps constant and can't even move, why is it fair that i get punished, there is no detection for low fps or no system to prevent this. How do i fix it now? What could possibly be causing this drop in FPS if nothing is updating or anything, how do i fix this so i can try to make up my lost promos, if i'm not banned already. I seriously fucking hate this company, they can't go a week without fucking the game up somehow

For starters, relax about the ban thing. It's one game, not a big deal. They only punish players who make a habit of leaving games. They intentionally made the system to have forgiveness for times you leave the game once in a blue moon (allows for technical issues, network issues, power loss, family emergencies, whatever). As long as you haven't left other games recently, you've got nothing to worry about.

As for the FPS issue, if you're the kind to leave the computer on all the time and don't reboot it often, give it a restart. Then hop back into a custom game and check your framerates. If it's still a problem, try updating graphics drivers to the latest available for your card. Again, hop into a custom game and see if it helps. If that doesn't work, try a client repair (from the launcher screen). It might take some time, but if there were some files that got corrupted or went missing, it'll fix those and it should hopefully resolve the issue.

To be honest, everyone will say it's your PC, but the thing is; this problem occurs every few patches riot has as of late. It is your PC, but something may have went wrong the the update as well. Certain players, no matter how good or bad their PC is, will receive massive FPS drops in game and sometimes sound tearing, but it eventually fixes itself in a day or so.

I remember a few months ago, a good chunk of players were receiving FPS drops since the latest patch at that time, and that wasn't the first case either.

Or something messed up on your computer, that is always an option. An update to a game is not going to just mess up your FPS, it would be a game wide issue. Maybe instead of blaming Riot maybe look at your equipment. [slayer-jinx-unamused]

i was going to say something along exactly those lines. riot didn't make your fps change, your computer couldn't handle something with the update. that is no one's fault but yours.

My guess could maybe be an out of date graphics driver, so it defaulted on On Board graphics, or cpu graphics, which are absolutely horrid.
