Are there offensive items that are better in melee than in ranged?

Because beyond the two hydras which are melee only, I'm not thinking of any. Honestly I wouldn't be too bothered by this if the reverse was true, but a melee champion cannot use rapidfire Cannon as well as a ranged champion.

I'm surprised RPC isn't ranged only actually.

item 3053 is better on melee than ranged champions. But after the nerfs is not gold effitient so nobody buys it anyways.

item 3022 is also better on melee :-P

item 3155 / item 3156 usually only melee champs can utilize this

item 3068 because you have ot come close to proc the passive. And ranged champs don't wanna be that close, unless they wanna be deleted instantly.

item 3001 same as Burning Cape

Cringy cases, I know, but hey... better than nothing, right? :-D

The last two are more defensive items than offensive. Defense items I do feel work better in melee, but they also get outscaled.

item 3071 and basically any defense/hp and damage hybrid items because that is what fighters are. (item 3022 item 3053)

If you are looking for assassin items, you won't find many.

BC was common in the armor pen marksmen builds and isn't built on them anymore because of lethality. I think it'll be bought again with the new lethality changes.

Frozen Mallet is actually better on ranged champions because it makes them able to kite their opponents easier. Vayne and Gnar are the best examples here.

I'll give you Steraks since ADCs stopped building it after they got it nerfed.

BC is better on fighters because it has stats fighters use more than ADC. What adc just stands there to take damage? If you want a defensive item, there are prob better one's you could use. Also, rage works better with melee. Read it.

Frozen Mallet gives more movement speed reduction on melee. Read it.

These are chasing items mainly for fighters. Am I saying they can't be used on ADC? Absolutely not. Doesn't mean ADC brings out the full potential.

Fair point on FM. Though while ADCs don't stand around and get hit, having extra health helps against burst.

Yes it benefits fighters more, but I don't think it really detracts from ranged. So I guess it does correctly answer my question despite my opinion.

Frozen mallet is objectively better on melees stat wise

But OP was probably referring to being better in game play, and as of right now, mallet is more used to kite melee champs as ranged, than melees keeping up with ranged.

I think you need items to catch up with the adc to start with anyway. FM + BC + Boots, + an Attack speed item. For the most part, however, fighters chase assassins not ADC. This is more of a rock paper scissors point you brought up.

Also, if you are not building defensive items on a melee, we have other issues. (Unless you are an assassin, but even then you need some type of survivability.)
