I quit Ranked for a while - enjoying normals until balance is right
The balance right now is not the worst it has been (Juggernauts!), but right now it is extremely annoying champs that are OP - namely autoattacking junglers with Stated/Guinsoos/Tank items. If Master Yi reaches 25 mins with Stated, the game is over - the "CC him" doesn't work anymore since he is so tanky. The only way to win is having an equally retarded champ as your jungler. And midlane is frankly unplayable when Zed is around - last time i played vs him i went 2-0, he bought Hexdrinker and proceeded to faceroll me.
I mostly play (long range) mages, and they are pretty much garbage now. No matter how well i farm, how many people i kill ect, by 15 minutes everybody on the enemy team has Abyssal/Maw and i cannot do anything, i deal absolutely no damage before 4+ items - needless to say, it's so hard to carry under these conditions. It doesn't help that the non-mages i play are (kind of) gutted right now (Talon, Tahm, Jayce).
But instead of quitting the game, normals is the way to go for me. I can ban annoying champs much more freely (Zed every time!), and i can practice other champs. And if you are full premade, you can always /d in fountain if the enemy picked Fiora, Yi, Tryndamere, Kalista and Alistar - dont put up with bullshit like that!
I hope Riot will soon balance the game (also so the meta gets better for me personally). If you feel the same way, i suggest you just practice something new in normals, preferably with some friends so you can have fun while doing it - the game is still amazing when you don't get frustrated :)
there is a fair bit of diversity, but all are just in a sad state simultaneously
