Except for maybe some being bad, what I always hated about playing off meta champs was, that the players on MY team, had no idead what my champ does. Let's take for example Mordekaiser, a champion I picked 1 or 2 months ago and had been playing non-stop Morde. I always hated, that my team didn't wan to engage, because it was scared. But with Morde I can put my w on them and heal them, they just don't know. In the end we get poked down, and die.

The thing that drives me nuts is the fact that after I pick the off meta support the ADC decides to go 
A squishy, imobile, no self peel, no escapes.
They yell at me for not picking a real support as they're dieing so much to blitz hooks and other positioning matters.
main because only that support can fix your BRONZE positioning.I don't own Tham, and not everyone does. Honestly whether I went a real support or not wouldn't of changed the outcome of that lane.

Wasn't even trying to Shift out, just ate every one. Like... I'm Janna, I am severely limited in what I can do to help. So I'm just gonna shield you then watch you get murdercombo'd before I can get a Tornado off. I will however, be taking all this sweet farm under turret.

That said, there are plenty of tanky off meta supports. My favorite is Maokai, who plays like Leona in lane, and be amazing at vision control in mid/late game, as well as a good peel tank, all while being an off-meta pick. What off meta pick did you have that match? Teemo?

You don't see her support a lot, well they're nerfing her heal so if she was even the tiniest meta support... she isn't now..
I got this to work as a tank support. It almost worked as an AP support... It's just soo hard like you really gotta put effort into that. It really depends on your ADC... I did this and my friend went ADC kennen, we wrecked house botlane.

I would classify him as a Mid-lategame ADC to go ham. He does best with any support with CC...

To be fair, any champ can work as a Support below Master. Hell, there are some weird off-meta Master players. I know there's one who mains Support TF and he's in Master. People are so caught up in whats meta that they often forget this is a game that doesn't have rules on what to do and what not to do. If there were rules, Koreans wouldn't be creating new shit that become extremely popular every so often.

then again this is about off meta picks i guess but i kinda only play off meta or off builds anyway they are often a lot more fun and work perfectly fine you just need a bit of imagination to come up with stuff, with the 1 rule that it has to have working potential, so it has to function
one of my latest inventions is on hit ivern which i have to tinker with some more and get some practice but it shows real promise so far, hes the only champion who can use runaans to proc both spell and on hit effects at the same time which is awesome
