Anivia's mana cost on Q compared to other characters?

All of her costs are high, but the only one that I think is truly unfair is the Q. The ult is pretty steep, but later on with the right items its not too bad, just at the earlier levels. Frostbite is really expensive if cast on something not chilled, but 90 mana is fair for the dmg it can potentially deal. The wall is a great move and there is no issue there imo.

Anivia's Q is hella expensive and it actually takes skill to land. It moves very slow and if you want to get your mana's worth you need to have it pass through them, then detonate. (not that easy on better players) I could just play ziggs or some one and just sit back and spam abilities all day long. If you miss a Q with Anivia its a huge hit to your mana bar where as some one like Ziggs, Xerath, Lux, Ahri and most other characters can miss 4/5 abilities and be in the same position as you mana wise.

I'm not at all saying Anivia is under powered, she has great late game if you have a solid front line, and even early if you can get ahead your E hits for some serious damage, but she just feels out of date compared to these streamlined new age Vel Koz like casters who have no channel times, fast moving projectiles, and super low costs. Her costs are all based on the potential if you combo perfectly, and even that you could just play some one super easy like LeBlanc or Zed (in Zeds case costs are a non issue altogether) and just 1 hit ppl all the same for much cheaper and have easy abilities with tons of movement.

I don't want to say buff Anivia either just cause she is actually really good, but the laning phase just feels waay harder than other characters for not more reward. It would just be nice to get a small amount of mana back or something as a reward for actually being good at the game when your Q passes through a champion.

Think of Invoker in Dota. He's complicated and much more difficult to use than the other characters, but there sure as shit is a reward in getting good with him. It pays off.

E could be balanced on the power of the ability in itself.. Its damage is only worth while if they are chilled, but it could be balanced so that its not a rip off and a half to use on some one that isn't chilled (50 mana or so to start and scale up in cost by level) and it would be a 'reward' for combo-ing correctly when you get the bonus damage... By the time you have rank 4 of frostbite (level 7) the cost would be the same, and since at this point you have your ult its not too difficult to apply the bonus dmg, but at lvl's 1, 2 & 3 it would compare more to other characters in the game.
