My computer is a beast and has tons of memory left on SSD, hard drive, and more than enough RAM to handle this game + songs on youtube. I came back to this game after taking a break for several months, and I noticed that whenever I alt tab to change songs now I am rolling the dice on a client crash, and when it doesn't crash I get a black screen for a solid 5+ seconds. What gives?
This has been going on for a few months but it has never been fixed...
Same thing for me here. Once you accidentally minimize the game, you are already slaughtered in lane after you are back

It's a known issue which Riot is working to fix! I'd advise you avoid alt+tabbing while playing League for the time being.
Disable focus assist.
Are you running the game is fullscreen or fullscreen windowed. If you want to alt tab, make sure you run it in windowed.
i had the same problem for some time i disabled all of focus assist's bs settings and it went back to normal
computer can't be a beast at all... i have a amd 6300 with 8 gigs of ram witch is really low. i have 250 gigs of ssd space and a 1060 strix running underpowered due to a 530w or 500w power supply and i have never ever once had the game crash on me when i alt tab and im playing fullscreen discord opened and Spotify plus all my other bullcrap. the only problem i get is a black screen for about 5 mins but that has to do with my ram im pretty sure. i think you should get ur computer checked mate considering my budget build is running it better than a beast ;p
im glad you spent what 3 grand 4 grand and you cannot even play league of legends but honestly you are having memory leak problems or ur ram isn't performing properly you have some great parts i would suggest getting a professional to take a look at it. also idk why you are stating the 1080 ti sli considering they have no influence on it. its clearly a memory problem but cool tell me to shutup when you spend 3/4 grand on a pc yet cannot alt tab out of one of the most optimized video games out there sad XD again i suggest you get a pro to look at it and stop sticking you uneducated fingers in there
