I've recently been seeing a lot more Kha'Zix players for some reason, and I was wondering if there was any particular reason. How is he in 6.11? How did various items/other champ changes affect him? I'm considering getting him, but I'm not sure if it's worth it.

He's not hard, just hard to master. I'd just go play Rengar, Kha actually takes skill.
