I feel like he's in a pretty nice spot, even if they nerfed the best part of his kit, but it kinda forces you to build AP instead of tank. If they do want you to do this, they should give him a bit more resistance to AD with his W to help him midlane, against current meta mid picks like Pyke.
Watafool2 votesHe just feels janky as heck to me. 3 abilities that want you to be in the middle of enemies and yet the best way to play him is full AP. Also his ult seems weird because he has to rely on someone else on his team either engaging or getting caught out of position to even use it.
Everything about his kit just feels awkward.

Ralanr1 votesHe used to have better AD DR, but they nerfed it to be a % of his MR DR because it was making him too strong into too many picks. Galio is supposed to be good into mages and weak into AD.
Granted I do miss building full tank on Galio at release of his rework. And I'm a bit miffed at the removal of ally DR on his ult, kinda makes using it as a tool to save people much less likely, and because he has to target allies, he can't use it as an engage, only as a followup.
Pals Before Gals1 votesI've always thought of his ult like a literal "Hero's Entrance" because of the DR and the huge knockup for enemies close to the designated ally; now it just seems like a "Regular Champion's Entrance" with the decreased knockup and no DR.
